Horn worm eggs

I just ordered 50 eggs from great lake and cups with 2.75lbs of wet food. I was wondering where i put the eggs to hatch. The shipment comes with 3 cups. Do i out the eggs in the cup, with mesh packed at the top of the cup?

alright i was just super confused i also ordered 30 hornworms that are already a good length so i something to feed till the others grow. how much do i feed because my bearded dragon eats like 2 4 inch ones in 5 seconds

I like feeding mine 1-2 then giving him other feeders.

Boss wint eat anything else he wont eat reptis,supers,crickets, or dubias

Hornworms are a good feeder, I had thought they were higher in fat then what that website states. I guess I have been wrong on that?
I feed my younger dragon (Thor) about 4-6 proportionally sized hornworms a say, I feed my older dragons 1 four inch (or so) hornworm a day to every other day, as they are pretty much done growing.

Boss is 16 inches and hasnt grown in awhile he is 9 months old, he eats salad and thats it but he loves hronworms and i tried taking away food for like 4 days and he still wouldnt touch anything except hornworms

That should be okay if he is eating his salads too.
Ensure a proper calcium supplementation as the ratio for hornworms is 1cal:3phos.
If he would eat butterworms this would pan out fine as butterworms are very high in calcium.

i dust his salads and not his food i find it much easier.

So the reptile store i go to, to get things i need for boss told me feeding hornworms as a stable is bad and i should starve him till he eats crickets.
Should i listen, because i jus got a whole setup to breed hornworms.

Hornworms are not a bad feeder, you just need to make sure you dust them if you feed, unless you are feeding another insect high in calcium.

They shouldn't be used as a staple insect in my opinion, but definitely can be used as an insect to add variety.

Ohh but, before I forget I really want to know how to hatch the eggs too. Have you found this out yet?

You put them in a small container with holes and needle point mesh, place the eggs at the bottom on top of a layer of paper towel, and let em' hatch. After they hatch, you put a tiny bit of food and they nibble at it. I kept them in a warmer room in my house (room temperature) and they hatched within five days. They're adorable when they hatch :lol: Its amazing to see them grow from the width of two strands of hair to the size of your thumb! :shock: (They're that tiny!)
