hiding in cave

I just moved gizmo into his new tank Saturday and all seemed fine but now he's hiding in his cage. would this more then likely be from the relocate of tanks?

Yep. It can take a while for them to settle into a new viv. If temps are fine but he's hiding all of the time and not basking you may want to remove the hide.

well I had to remove hide. he hasn't come out of his hide all day so I know he's freaking cold. I put him under his basking light. he's not getting it back till later

When I upgrade my juvie / subadults from the 100L rearing tubs , I keep the layout exactly the same , in fact very same furnishings that the lizard is used to and has their scent all over , in the new much larger 4ft x 2ft tank. Only difference for them is more space and different lights.
Doing this seems to avoid much if any relocation stress.

yeah I did the exact same thing too but I just added a hide
