Thanks, she's been in good spirits! The vet said there weren't any more eggs, but possibly follicles .. or the shapes are her organs. Admittedly though, the reptile vet was not in. This was just the general emergency one. I sent an email to her usual one, who I'm planning to follow up with on Tursday.Hello,
She is stunningly beautiful, & looks happy.
Based on the x-rays, it appears she has eggs & that they are mostly shelled.
Has the vet mentioned anything about the placement & when she may lay more eggs?

They said they don't think there are eggs but not sure. They couldn't feel any, only a soft mass somewhere that could be follicles. They didn't think oxytocin was suitable when I asked. They only sent me home with oral meloxicam which I gave. She continued to strain but settled after the medication and is sleeping now. She black bearded for a bit at first but this faded. They said there wasn't much else they could do. Their remote consultant was actually my usual vet, who they said I should follow up with first thing in the morning.Oh darn, did they give her a shot of Oxytocin ? And are you positive that she had one the first time ? A vet should know about that, there's nothing else she really needs. Tell them not to give her anymore shots [ like pain meds. ] except the Oxytocin. That's all she needs, then take her home. They can't do anything else.
They did give her oxytocin the first time around. I've called everywhere in Sydney and no one has a reptile vet on site, none available until tomorrow morning. Where is the Aussie bearded dragon forum? I'm desperate honestlyThey should have given her Oxytocin, if she has eggs they need to move. She did not need meloxicam, that just decreases her urge to push out any eggs. I would look for a real reptile vet , contact the Aussie bearded dragon forum and ask around.
Did they actually give her Oxytocin the first visit ? Find out for sure.
