Help! Rot/Fester-like thing on the roof of his mouth

hello folks, we were checking our boy HuaHua and the roof of his mouth (some organ I can't even name) looks strange
It may not look severe... in fact it looks like my own canker sore tbh... but is it usual that all these "canker sores" are in the same place? (the rest of his mouth is fine, except for some stains on the teeth which I was about to brush away)
Any help will be appreciated! thank you!

not a problem. at some point you may see questions from @KarrieRee . she's our lighting specialist. lights and temps control everything else for a dragon's health, so work with her to rule out that part of the problem as well. outside that, feel free to post any question you may have. we are all definitely here to help our favorite little scaly butts and their owners!

Hello,

I haven't ever seen anything like that! Can you think
of anything he could have eaten that might have irritated the roof of his mouth like that?
What type of insects do you feed him?
For now, you could get some raw unpasteurized honey to treat it with by using a swab & dabbing it onto the area. It is very safe if ingested, no problem.

hi Tracie, thanks for taking a look!

In fact he recently had a few issues...
His bioactive tank was infested by mites. After a doctor check (with a blood test), he was discovered with below issues:
1. de-hydration (due to the mites, he was unwilling to eat or drink)
2. increased blood cell count (seems indicating some infection)

Right now he is in an isolated small tank with very proper heat/lighting (measured by UVB meter and temperature gun). And per vet's prescription we are still giving him some antibiotics

He recovered really fast though, he is now an active boy again. Only then I discovered this strange symptom on the roof of his mouth, which got me really nervous as he just recovered... and it will take some time until I could schedule another appointment with the vet

so perhaps this symptom was a by-product of dehydration or infection.

While I'm posting questions online, I have also reached out to the vet and scheduled earliest appointment.

I will update this post if anything was identified, in case any other people might need this knowledge

Thanks!

* To answer the question in your comment. He's been eating super worms only. I wished I have other options but when he is sick he will only eat worms (superworms, hornworms). I feel at this stage it is more important to get him eating and recovered, than fixing his food pickness : - P

Yeah I will order some. Any good online seller of silk worms?
I usually buy everything from dubia.com, but silkworm is one of very few staple feeders they don't provide.

Hello,

The Silkworms are really good so you can definitely try some for him.
Here is another site who specializes in silk worms.

www.mulberryfarms.com/

How is he doing tonight, have you tried the honey on the roof of his mouth yet?

Silkworms are really neat to start. The moth transformation is beautiful!

some updates
Seems Huahua is still having dehydration. We started to feed him liquid food per vet's suggestion
Meanwhile we are waiting on the stool and blood test

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
