help identifying my dragon

just got this male and am trying to figure out what he is since owner didn't know genetics really i believe he's leatherback but figured id post up and see what some of the more knowledgeable owners had to say.

Yes.

Sandfire is a description of a color, and in addition, comes from sandfire dragon ranch. So unless that is where this dragon came from, I wouldn't use the term sandfire with him/her.

I am wondering what my big boy (11 an a half inch's he thinks he's huge and the boss lol) here's a new pic of him

Maybe a citrus leatherback. From that pic, he looks like hes got the solid black eyes too which would make him a translucent as well. It's hard to really judge a color of a young dragon cause they will change colors as they mature. Best bet is to look at the parents to give you an idea.

As to the OP, in that first picture of the leatherback, he needs to fatten up a lot. His tail is pretty scrawny looking at the base and in that picture of him on your hand, it looks like the fat pads behind his eyes are sunken in. Not a good sign. That normal one in your second post though looks pretty good weight wise. I do like the color of that leatherback.
