Hello Giz!

My new little bundle of love
Day 6 of having him, he's taken to launching himself from the top of his log, into the bunch of artificial plants and just hangs there snoozing and peering through the leaves. Silly baby lol.

So this morning I come downstairs to find a nice poo waiting for me in the front of the tank, on closer inspection I notice a trail of it leading over to Gizmo, he'd only gone and walked through it caking his belly in it and dragging it round with him -_- dirty dragon! He didn't appreciate me cleaning him up, but its his own fault lol.

His stress marks were out in full bloom today I even gt a little puff of the beard when going to pick him up.. His tails finally starting to peel away, its been grey since I got him so I'm quite excited to see the real colour!

Giz is really full of it today! I walked downstairs to find this, made me laugh so much.. As if to say 'mum i've been waiting for you!'

He seems to be calming down a lot too, his stress marks are fading and his colours are starting to come out Gonna be a pretty boy!

He's looking a lot better now I've got a bit of meat on him

I ordered him some calci worms on saturday, I'm hoping they'll arrive today so I can try him out on them..
I'm off work with a kidney infection, sucks!
But I also ordered a dress and some digital scales so I can keep on top of his weight and that.. The dress is obviously for me, not Giz lol.. I'm entitled to a treat every now and then

Giz has really been pigging out recently! Weighed him for the first time on Tues and he's 42g and growing Fast!

Aww, he's a cute thing! My dragon doesn't sleep weird anymore, he gets in his bed and stays there the whole night and day now that he's in brumation mode. I can take him anywhere, even in my dark messenger bag...xD he won't care as long as he can sleep. Don't worry he gets air.

I know I haven't got the heart to tell him that one day he'll try and do that and the plant will just collapse lol

LOL his old plant collapsed about 2 years ago.
He just went out with us, been out for 2 hours...:lol:.
I hid him in the travel bag and he was just a complete
angel, took him to the mall and the guy there thought
I smuggled a human child in xD.

I only did it cuz he's hibernating and it's dark and warm in there and he crawled into it himself I didn't do anything.
Vash knew what I brought it for.

Had a horrible weekend with Gizmo

On saturday he started fitting and we were concerned he had atadenovirus.. I called the breeder and at first he was all concerned and told me to bring him in to see what they could do, 10 minutes later he came back to me saying under no circumstance bring giz into the shop because it may be atadenovirus and its extremely contagious.. Without even knowing it was that for sure, he told me i MUST euthanise Gizmo! He said put him in the fridge send him to sleep then freeze him overnight..
I was disgusted by this, I would NEVER be able to do that to an animal in my own home EVER!

After losing Jaffa I told myself I would never give up on Gizmo, and I HAVEN'T..
His fits have now stopped, he is eating at large again, and is the most active I have ever seen him, I have been in contact with a vet and they have said it may have just been a one off and to keep a close eye on him, it may of been something stuck in his gut pressing against his spine which has now dislodged (he has had about 5 poos since!) But so far so good, my baby is doing really well!

I will never ever have anything else to do with this breeder again, I am disgusted he told me to kill my beardy without even confirming what was wrong! All he was concerned about was his stock, when in the case that Gizmo has got this virus, it would of come from him in the first place!

So angry, but for now Giz is happy so fingers crossed!

I'm sorry someone would even suggest to kill a beardie unless there was no way of really saving it.
There is a way to save Gizmo not sure about the adenovirus, I never had dealt with that before
so I hope there is a way to save Giz even if he has it. Good luck that nothing is wrong with him!

Giz ate the most crickets i've ever seen him eat today, he just wouldn't stop! I put his feeding box on the floor this time, seems like he can't see them or gets distracted when on the table? Made his stress marks go away as well for the first time properly too..

giz now sleeps in my boyfriends 'grumpy old toad' slipper, he loves it, crawls in there 10 mins before lights off like clockwork.. when i come down in the morning there's this little head peeping out at me lol
