There is not much about the Stumpies. I found the pair at a reptile shop here and saw they had been boarded by their owners. That was about a year ago and they are still being boarded. I have been trying to adopt them without success so far. I go visit them and feed and water them on weekends. The owners apparantly don't see them but call every month to pay another month of boarding. I named them Mr. and Mrs. Stumpy as the male lost its left front foot to the ankle. They are housed together and love attention. I want them in better conditions although the store owners do all they can for the pair. Its become my mission in life to adopt these two legally come wind or high water.

My Em trio are doing great, all three just had worms for breakfast. All 3 are happily basking and still not able to go out. Its been in the 90s and no shade for them right now. Yesterday had to leave them all alone for a few hours as I had a date with my hubby to celebrate our birthdays, his the 23rd of June and mine the 1st of July. We went up to Rocky Mountain National Park for a nice drive then back down to the Stanley Hotel and had lunch and sat on the veranda watching the clouds roll in. They have a new maze so played in the maze for a bit. That was not fun since its only knee high as it was just planted and you could see your way out. Still I love it up there where the air is so clean and fresh, its cooler higher up in the mountains. Am going to run to hobby lobby here in a few and get a few things for crafting. Not much going on really.

We're like you, heat wave for us, though, so early and no rain for 2 months already and not even July yet. Even the dragons aren't liking it so much. The lights got off at 2:30p now, they're just exhausted by the heat. It's over 90F in my apartment, muggy and just uncomfortable. Luckily, I put cool water in the tub and take a dip a few times a day. Cold water on my wrists, face and head help, too. Was out for 2 hours food shopping, lots of waking in air conditioning, felt darned good!

Glad you had a relaxing day for your two birthdays, it's nice to get away to a cooler place. Glad you had a good time. Not much new with my crew either. Nathaniel still needing from having Castiel in the house, he tries very hard to fight with him every chance he gets (which are very few). All in all, I'm enjoying my young ones. Cierra has gained alot of weight since she laid her eggs last Sunday, she was 301, now she's 371. Eats alot & has all week. Giving her extra supplements, calcium and acidophilus, guess that helped, too. She's running around the living room and balcony right now, likes to get into the parts I haven't had a change to clean on the balcony and get dirty, funny girl!

The Stanley Hotel? That would be so cool! See any ghosts?  I bet it was beautiful though, I love Colorado, we lived in Colorado Springs for a few years and my MIL&FIL live in Canon City(can't put "~" over the "n") I am only on page 27 of your thread, summers are so busy :study: Is there anything more cute than a cobweb covered beardie?

Not much has been going on. The Em trio are all doing great. Today is tank cleaning day, baths and worm day. I may even be able to take Emily and Emmett outside for a bit today. Its going to be a strange day today with the crazy neighbors across the street partaking in drink and fireworks...not a good combination. They are planning on partying all dang day which means their kids will be running wild and rampant through the neighborhood. you just cant win with jerks and *****s for neighbors.
Had a good birthday although it was a lazy day and we celebrated the Saturday before since our birthdays are so close together <me and hubby>. Its been unbearably hot here but using the fan in my garage to paint and do other crafts has really helped. Cant use the chemicals in the house that I use to make certain things so have to put up with the fan and heat, the chemicals stink to high heaven.
Going tomorrow to see the Stumpies and take them some baby food and water. Stay with them for a bit and let them have some attention. I still want them so bad. Not much else going on here, trying to stay out of trouble with the nasty neighbors. You have no idea how bad they really are! ughhhhhh

Have a great visit with The Stumpies. I'm sure they'll be very happy to see you.

Emily, Emmett and Emilio are doing great. I need to feed them here in a few minutes but thought I would update. Emily is still losing a bit of her weight and looks so much better now with some of her roundness gone. She is still huge but not overly so. She shed her legs sometime during the night so that's a good thing. Her eyes are so bright and she is happy. She got out of her bed and climbed up to her basking spot soon after lights on. Usually she will stay in her bed a bit after lights on then get up, not today. She bright eyed and ready to start her day.
Emmett is doing well although I don't understand him having a nice bed with fluffy pillows and him wanting to drape over the headboard of his bed looking uncomfortable. Oh well, that's Emmett for you. He to shed and is doing well. He is being lazy today and has not gotten out of his bed yet to bask.
Emilio shed again and is so bright and pretty. He is eating well but still does not like to be held or touched so I leave him alone as to not stress him out. He watches everything going on and hisses at his crickets before he gulps them down. Such a funny little guy.
Been a bit on the rainy side but not to bad. All my crafting is done now, thank heavens. I feel lazy with nothing to make or create so started a painting. My lupus has been acting up for the last two days so have been in pain but that flare is subsiding. I am just happy it doesn't flare to often like this. Well best get busy and feed Emily and Emmett before they have a hissy fit not yet having breakfast

I'm sorry for the flare, they're so painful, but glad it's not all the time for you. Glad your 3 are doing well and great that Emily lost weight and is feeling better!

Boys will be boys. There's no point in trying to figure them out ;)

Sorry your Lupus had been flaring up.

Did you ever get to visit with The Stumpies?

I did go see the stumpies today and the owners were told, that I was interested in them again and the reply was we are paying up another month. They will be there another 2-3 months. Andy in front of me told them that if they did not pick the beardies up I would get them. They said they will think about it. 1500.00 in boarding fees to date. I did give them some baby food and some water. Both took 10 cc's of baby food and water. They seemed content and happy after getting water and baby food. I try to see them every weekend or every other weekend. NOW for the news, Mr Stumpy turned out to be a MRS stumpy...they are both females. Now that MR stumpy has some weight on him he is clearly a girl. So its mrs and mrs stumpy. I don't care, I still want them.

Oh my! That answered the nagging question I always had as to why there hadn't been any babies since they're housed together.

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart I have to say goodbye to Emily, she just passed away. The vet and I have been working for 2 days to save her from her egg binding and egg yolk peritonitis. Emily had one egg left to lay and it burst and she could not pass it. The vet took great pains to save my sweet baby but it was her time. She is with Geico now and happy and whole. I will bury her with Geico in the garden. I will miss her greatly and am so sorry that this happened to her. I will always keep her in my heart and always love my sweet Emily.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this Tonja. I know how close your babies are to you and how hard it is to lose them. I will miss reading stories about her adventures. She had a really great life. Better than most, that's for sure. =(

Thank you, she did have a great life and I do not regret one minute of enjoying her and loving her. She will always, like Geico, be in my heart and will always love them.

I understand. I'll never forget the stories about her rearranging her furniture and especially pushing her chair to the end of her bed to keep her tail up off the ground.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
