Basically, I fought out that lettuce is NOT a good thing to feed my beardie, so I bought some Bok choy.
I don't think he likes it, he barely eats any of it.
Luckily, greens are fairly cheap. Get some variety... Mustard greens seem to be a general favorite. There are tricks as well. You can sprinkle the greens with some herbs to make it more sense appealing. Also, put some treats in the salad such as carrots or strawberries. Let us know how it goes!
The three greens my dragons seem to like the best are collard greens, mustard greens, and endive. Chop them up to an appropriate size and mix them together. You can try throwing in some type of worm to help entice your dragon a bit. Also if you get some squash and mix that in it might help too. Just don't give up on it.
Does anybody know a general place to locate those greens? I went to my organic market in my city (small city), and they only had bok choy. I talked to the owner and she said she can only make big orders, and me being the only beardie owner to ask about it to her isn't enough to order others.
somebody said try a farmer's market, but I don't know if our city has them...
Yeah, he's still not eating (maybe a bite or two) and hasn't pooped in days.
most any grocery store in the country should have greens. mustard greens, collard greens, etc. I'd check there if your "organic market" doesn't have them.
I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
