Does light harm eggs?

Does it hurt to leave the light on in an incubator or do eggs need darkness?

If your using the light that I think you are using I don't think it will bother them if you have it on occasionally. I wouldn't leave it on all the time. Bright light can harm the eggs. I try not to candle them after the first couple of days.
