Do Dubias need a day/night cycle?

I have my Dubias in complete darkness, but I was wondering if there was any known benefit to a proper day/night cycle?

The reason I said yes is because having a day/light cycle is more likely what they experience in the wild because Dubias arent cave roaches(obviously cave roaches will prefer 24/7 darkness). Although breeders do actually claim that they put their roaches in complete darkness.

I was talking to c n s feeders about their set ups and he says he puts them in their basement where its completely dark. I personally think they do that to prevent them from being bothered.
