I have been noticing every few days i see egg sacks around the bin, it looks like the roaches are aborting the egg sack...any reason for this? should i leave them in there or throw them out?

That could be your problem. I try to only go into mine once every few days to refill food and crystals etc.

My fruit / crystals rarely dry up or even begin to go bad within a 2 day period. I usually put a large amount so that i don't need to disturb them for at least a couple days.

Also what is the humidity inside the bin? If it is to dry they will drop the sacks. Remember they have to reabsorb them inside their body's so their needs to be humidity in there.

You'd know if the humidity was a problem if you were having bad molts, and thus dead bugs, so I'd guess your humidity is ok.

:O I've noticed over the past 2 days that there were a few dead roaches in my bin.. Can this be due to humidity? I've seen successful molts as well..

It is very possible. Some of them can be from the end of their life cycle as well. Do you have vents in the bin and how many? Any pictures?

I have dubia, but this may help....
By removing water crystals and fruit from the bin so often, you drop your sources o moisture....
Everytime you open the bin you will lose humidity or when you remove sources of moisture, (ie. water crystals and fruit) you will drop humidity as well. I regularly look through my screen top to see how they are on goods, bu only open to change things about every three days. They are in a closet that is also rarely opened to provide them with constant darkness.

I agree with Lance. I think your humidity is too low. Yes, stressing them can cause some to drop the sac-if the female roach is in the process of extracting/pulling the sack back in, but just getting in the bin daily to add food/water gel or to get some out shouldn't be an issue. I'm in my bin daily to pull out some for the dragons, add food or freshen water gel and rarely have dropped egg sacks.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
