Did I get the wrong bulb?

I have a Reptisun 10.0 T8 24" bulb in my beardies enclosure. It sits about 12-14 inches from his basking spot and is inside the enclosure against the screen lid. Is the distance ok or should I have gotten the T5 bulb?

perfectly fine where it is, if you do decide to get the T5 bulb you will need to mount it either above the screen or drop the basking spot due to the intensity of the UV. most opt for the T5 but it depends on your setup as to which is best. you're good though.

Thanks. I ended up moving the basking spot to where she would be 8 inches from the bulb. She seems happy about that.

6-8'' is the appropriate distance for best output from a T8.
