Ceramic Heat Emitter Question

Can I use a CHE in a dome fixture or do I have to use a wire fixture?

You can use either. If using a dome fixture make sure the dome is deep enough(so that the CHE does not extend past the lip of dome). It is also very important that the fixture has a ceramic/porcelain socket and the rating is enough to accomodate the wattage of the CHE. They put off a tremendous amount of heat.

Hmm, what if the socket is metal?

Due to the amount of heat the CHE produces and the lengths of time they are used, it would melt the metal fitting. It is much safer to use the ceramic based fittings.
