I know one of mine will lick up bits of calcium carbonate left on the floor of his tank after putting in dusted crickets. I've never tried just putting a dish in with it. I would think they might if you put just a little in the bottom of a food dish, not enough to dig in.
Ziggydragon, the standard answer if your feeding mostly crickets, its dust them 5x a week with calcium, and 2x a week with multi-vitamin, so your doing one dusting a day. If your feeding primarily black soldier fly larvae (phoenix worms or reptiworms,) you wouldn't need to add as much calcium, as the calcium: phosphorus ratio is pretty good to start with. You don't want to overdo the calcium, as that can start a while other line of problems. I'd suggest searching other threads, or starting a new one as to how much calcium to supplement with bsf larvae, I'm sure there are people here with exact answers. It also would depend on the type and strength of the liquid calcium supplement you have. Here's a site that will give you some good info.
