I have 4 fish, one male betta (in his own tank), one female and 2 guppies in another...she's got the very tip of her swimming fin on her side has fin rot. It's caused by poor water quality because my tank on my birthday cycling again. I'm so mad about that so I already had casualties I dont want more. Hopefully she'll stop stressing and recover.
If not, I will give her a fair fight see if she pulls through if not watch my guppies. I can't move her as sites say because my male is in the other and he has swim bladder so that's
not fair giving him rot too. Plus my female is asleep in her castle.

Vash died on September 25, 2014 at age 10. Ordered a citrus male baby dragon and my vet did an biopsy after he died and said black fungus and stomach cancer. His stomach just never grew big even when he ate so many bugs. Mouth rot was coming too. He died before rot got him. We think cancer did it. So threw out all the stuff the baby touched and got new carpets, tank with opening front doors, new decorations and a new cricket keeper so my new dragon won't get sick from the old keeper with crix in
it. Hes eaten inside it once. I breed crix and roaches and dump them in the keeper not all just like 16 at a time. February 7, I finally got my crested gecko but mom knows Im not good with look at animals (except fish) so I put the crested back and walked around the dragon cage a few times and saw this male standing on his hind legs looking at me. He was dropped off by a family and said 4 months old come to realize he is 4-5 months now at 11" meaning he was 2-3 months old in February and maybe 7-8" then if I had to guess didnt measure him back then I do now.

Hopefully that covers everything you asked Jess.

My youngest nephew Ryder, is 9 yrs old on Sat. My youngest brother Dave (Ryder's dad) is 50 on June 10, so plus my dad, my s-i-l's mom and her boyfriend, that's 5 birthdays & we celebrate them all with an early dinner on Sunday.

Sorry to hear about your fish, that's a drag...darned fungus anyway.

Yeah but she has a better chance than the 4 that died.
My scissortails were covered in fin rot. My dwarf had columnarious but it's killed already I added meds for columnarious and fin/tail/mouth rot so hopefully she beats it. But I can't check on my betta now she hides in her castle at night so will update in the morning about her. And of course my male guppy goes in the castle son of a b..!
They sleep in the same castle always have.

Hopefully hes not stressed out enough to get it.

Broly's poop is normal and still eating and running around.
Hes 11 1/2" long or so it looks like it..I might have got the
wrong reading he loves to run about. Won't straighten out
for me or sit still.

My female betta beat the tiny fin rot she just contracted last night. My guppies are doing fine the male didnt get
it. Star (my betta) went through a lot shes been through
6 rounds of mouth rot, 2 rounds of columnarious, and now her first fin rot. Shes old like a year old Idk but shes not
young. Even when my tank was cycled she had issues.
My male (alone in the 10 gallon) is losing his fight with bacterial swim bladder. I wonder if the salt trick helped
Star maybe him too. We'll see.

Male betta died and put my female betta in the 10 gallon.

My guppy did contract fin rot...it's just in my effin water!!
I took my female out to protect her. I may still be too late
but she's not mine...I have two females. Star is mine and Celeste is my sister's. They're both in the 10. They're not
fighting they've been kinda "having each other's back" kinda
deal.

Broly is 63 grams and almost close to 1' (12"). I already can't believe hes gettin so big. My aunt is moving in with us next
week till she has her money condition under control. We do
have 6 bedroom house. She loves Broly sooo much. She buys
him p.worms every week while my mom buys cricket food.
I'm going to take pictures of me and him with my aunt but hadn't been able to because the fish has my attention at the moment. No one is being neglected.

Down to 2 fish now, the guppy passed away from it. He was
doing well...but he went down hill. Found him being pecked to death by his tank mates. I told mom this cycling
a tank first works so I don't tell her they died. I rather start
over the right way of course going to tear the tank down.
My betta only lone survivor of beating this thing. I hate
fungus!

Broly and Thor only ones NOT sick. Thank the lords!
So he still eats and uses the toilet. He drinks in his
bath so he gets hydration from not only foods that
provide water he also gets a drink in his bath.

It's June and still cold outside! Getting rain this spring too.
We usually don't. Oh well..tired so much I'll be on later.

Ok, so the lone guppies are not sick since the last one so I may have got lucky and no one will stress to the point of fungus from hell!

Broly is now shedding lower half of 3 of his legs or 2 or 4..
I don't remember if it's all or 3 or just two legs. But know
for a fact it's shed. I woke up and saw swollen legs I was like what?! How can that be? Gout? MBD? Mbd can't be possible he has the Reptisun 10.0 tube and gets his supplements...a closer look and the color is blurred out on his legs...shed makes the color blurred out at least on my dragon. So he was shedding...I was like thank goodness thats all it is. Nearly had a heart attack the last thing I needed since fungus took down most of my fish is a sick dragon. But be assured pics are coming and Broly is fine.

Thor is a different story. Hes not sick or anything..just been in a bad mood lately.

There isn't much else...just...uhm yeah.

So freshwater tank is done and did A LOT of research on saltwater. Yes, that means recycling the tank.

Broly is 73 grams from Saturday which was 63!!

He is 2-3" off of 12" (1'). Shedding all 4 legs it looks like.
Gave him a bath. Staying up late because I fed at 7:12pm
so I was late in food because I was buying stuff for my saltwater. I'm tearing the tank down not gonna add salt to
my freshwater. Got 1lb of live rock to help cycle...not a beginner just a beginner on saltwater. Been doing fresh for 5 years. I'll be sure to do it all correctly.

Thanks Mike!

Anyway, even though he's 73 grams his fat pads arent really being shown yet. I suppose hes still a baby and going to grow them in when his body is ready. They're not indented
or anything bad like that I was just wondering. He just looks so small without any fat pads.

My saltwater is now started to cycle. I got my protein skimmer and UV light working and a new filter going.
Heater too. My live rock is in there. When it's over she wants to see Clown fish. They're cute and all but..I don't know if I want them. I like snowflake eels but they get huge not suitable for my tank. I may stick with some coral and starfish and sea anemones <---sp? Maybe I'll put in clowns.

I used t do salt water, had a 55 gallon, 48 gallon, etc. We started with live rock and damels to start the cycle. You'll love it when its all ready to go, just make sure of your PH and salt level and keep the tank clean!

We had clown fish, anemones, live coral, cleaner shrimp, bermuda angel (Sam, he was a character, if we didn't hand feed him his prawn fast enough he would spit water out at us, lol)yellow tang and I forget what else. If we didn't have to move to an apt at the time we would still have our tanks!

Thanks for the tips Mary!

I love yellow tangs, they're my favorite.
I'll talk mom into damsels to help start
the cycle. She says they're ugly but I don't
think so. I think they're cute. I started this
saltwater because of the fungus in my freshwater
tank and tore it down when they died and started
over. Hope I can do better this time.

Got the damsels they're quite gorgeous! They're blue.
I got meds for saltwater fish in case they do because cycling is hard on fish.

So I didnt vacuum and let Broly on the floor last night and he eats one green piece of cat litter. I already talked to my vet and Tracie and said since it's just one piece it should pass it through just extra fluid and soft foods should help move it. Hes still bright colors no signs of dark or stress.
Just waiting for poop which he has not done yet and usually goes in the morning. I watched him all morning and no signs of struggling to pass it. He still ate this morning so obviously no lack of appetite.

Update: he pooped not sure if it came out. I think it did. Usually he poops what he had last night. He didn't struggle so it didn't hurt him. I really couldnt see the color or shape of the litter I think we're good, Im sure it's IN the poop somewhere or digested. Saw no blood so it didn't cut his insides. Lesson learned: vacuum before lizard play time.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
