Boy or Girl?

I was wondering if any of yall could tell me if my beardie is a boy or a girl. I've researched sexing them, but I'm still not sure.

Yeah, I know. I tried to put them in there but it didn't work. There should be an easier way to put pictures in posts, I tried the member upload or whatever but i couldn't get my pics to upload. It looks like a girl to me. She does look pretty small still, so that may change. How old is she?

I think its about 3 months old, but I'm not sure. I got it from a lps and they didn't tell me anything. I asked on another website about the age going by how long she is and at the time was 6 inches long, someone said theirs were about 2 month of when they were that big and I've had her a little over a month, thats just what I'm going by.

Great trick if you really have issues telling the difference, go in a dark room lift up the tail and shine a flask light from the other side. It's like when you put your hand over a flashlight and it shows red, sept if it's a male beardie you will see testes.

If its a girl will you see nothing?

You will see ovaries but they aren't as obvious as the testes. They show up almost like a triangle directly above the vent.

I did it last night, and posted in another thread. It's a girl and I named her Nova

What you see with the flashlight method are the hemipenes. The ovaries and testies are up in the abdomen.

Thanks for the incite. I was aware of them having hemipenes, but I thought they where much smaller.
