Boodah,Crush,Gizmo,Princess n Mika! Updated 4/23 :)

Even though we are still mourning our little Spike, he led us to our new luvbug, Boodah! I don't know if I am supposed to say, but we visited with Tom of TND Dragons today. He was wonderful and has the most beautiful dragons who are very well loved and cared for. Tom and his wife are so friendly and welcoming.

Here are the first pics of Boodah who is still settling in having just arrived home this afternoon. He weighed in at 14g today! More than double Spike! Boodah is wicked FAST and luvs jumping around his viv. He is extremely inquisitive and we can't wait until he's completely settled in and his full personality comes thru. Boodah is already very feisty and we are hopelessly head over heels in luv!

The kindness and generosity of everyone on this forum astounds me. It really is like a family here and I am so grateful for all of you. It's amazing how many wonderful friends I've made already. Thank you for your never-ending support during our trying times with Spike and for helping us welcome Boodah into our family.

Hola everyone! I've been negligent in updating and for that I am sorry! I can't find my camera either so all my pics are on the memory card - ugh!!! I've been searching for a week now....

We did go on vacation back in July and I found an amazing petsitter who took care of the dragons for us. She came in twice a day and did all the baths, feedings, tv and window time for me. Needless to say tho, my spoiled brats were a little bent out of shape with me when I got back! Especially Crush! He blew up at me and ran away!

Crush just celebrated his birthday! One year old already! I can't believe it! Barb, I can't wait to show you updated pics of him. He is so handsome and a real luvbug.

Boodah outweighs Princess now! Last weigh in he was 460.0g! Princess hasn't been eating too much lately and she did lose 6g but otherwise she's still as sweet as ever. I just replaced Crush and Boodah's Reptisun's so hopefully they will increase their intake again. Otherwise my babies are sick of superworms!

Lance: I'm getting ready to re-do Gizmo's enclosure and I am going to try to make him a bar! The way he sits on his log, he looks like he is saddled up to the bar waiting for a beer! Hopefully it will turn out but we'll see.

Our outside time has been severely limited as the hawks are always circling the house and my dragons get super stressed! Boodah is still asserting his dominance to everything and everyone any chance he gets!! He is getting to be one BIG dragon. I gotta find my camera to show u guys! Thanks for checking on us!

Hi Jane,

Good to hear from you and to know that everyone, human and animal are doing well. So Boodah's getting really big, he's not a year old yet, is he? I really enjoyed that last bunch of pics you posted. Hope you find your camera, soon.

I'm glad you found someone to take care of the dragons when you were on vacation. That's just awesome and not easy. Glad you had a great vacation. Guess the kids are back to school soon, what a drag, for them at least!

Hello all! I still have no idea where my camera is, but my sis was kind enough to give me an iphone so I finally have a few pics to post! Things have been ridiculous here! All four dragons tested positive for parasites! Princess n Gizmo for pinworms and Boodah n Crush for cocciddia yet again. Princess n Gizmo had both doses of Panacur. I have to talk to the vet today to decide our next course of action for Boodah n Crush. They did one week of albon and just had their week off.

The dragons are all cranky and not eating. Princess n Gizmo have been staying under their logs all day. I think maybe they are ready for brumination but I can't let them go down until I get clean fecals on them. I am happy to report that Princess is off the crushed walnut shell and made the transition wonderfully. Since finishing her meds, her colors have been lovely. I think sj\he is feeling much better. Gizmo still looks at me very skeptically when I approach his enclosure but he's a sweetheart. He still hates his baths but tolerates them for me. He is still the explorer and runs all over the house. Crush must have taken in too much water during his bath Friday. He threw up on my son's head but it was all water. He coughed a few times but I followed Lance's recommendation and raised his basking spot. He is doing just fine now. He won't eat at all tho. He even refused hornworms yesterday which he never does! None of them will eat the supers, butter worms or wax worms I bought. So frustrating!!!!

Ok, so here are the pics. The enclosures are all pulled apart be/c of the parasites.

Hi Jane! Thanks for the updates and pics! That's really crappy about parasites....Mojo has had his share and I know how frustrating it can be! Everyone looks great though. All of my adults are trying to sleep so thank goodness I have my baby! Take care!

Hi Jane, glad to hear from you. The pics are all great. They all look really well fed and happy. Sorry to hear about the parasites, yuk, you definitely don't want them sleeping until the parasites are under control.

Our 5 are all sleeping this am. They all slept yesterday, too, but Sweetie and Lonzo woke up at 1p, then were back to sleep by 5p. I only gave them some babyfood squash & a couple of rasp, they weren't interested in anything else. So those who eat, get only a day's sleep, then up to poop before being allowed to sleep again. I'm keeping track in a notebook as to who ate what when & when to wake them up. Brumation can be the pits!

Good luck with the meds and getting rid of those pesky parasites. Hope to hear good news soon, that they're all ok again.

Jane--Boodah is huge! And I can't believe you went from 1 to none to 1 then to 4. Your family is hooked. I guess I will have to travel with my 2 next spring to meet up with you guys as your crew is probably harder to travel with.
parasites stink but at least we know it is normal for beardies to have some.

Hermes is doing well, tho still MBD issues prevent him eating on his own but now walks much better.
Fireball is doing extremely well and a silly boy.

My husband is hooked to as I sent him a link for guinea pigs rescue and htey had a beardie on there and his response (supposed to be picking a guinea pig he likes) was "I like the beardie"
