beardie color

when i got my beardie the breeder(btw he is just a local breeder so dont ask who!XD) he said he is a sandfire dragon but i just wana be sure

He has some nice colors and looks to be a sandfire.The pics are a tad on the blurry side so it is a little bit hard to tell for sure.

This seems to be a randomly controversial topic, but I believe that Sandfire is a line of bearded dragons produced by the Sandfire Dragon Ranch, rather than a general color, that was bred for a red/orange coloration.

It looks like yours has a very nice orange color, especially on the head. I'm guessing there would be no way to know if it was a Sandfire unless the breeder got one of his dragons from the Sandfire line from Sandfire Dragon Ranch.

For the beardie to be a sandfire it doesn't have to be from or have a direct releationship to Sandfire Dragon Ranch. Anyone if they have the right beardies can breed sandfires.

Sandfire is more of a brand name rather than a specific colour name. For instance, Sandfire Dragon Ranch produces reds, oranges, yellows, citrus, hypos, etc, and all are called "Sandfire." It's like the difference between a tissue and a Kleenex. One is a generic and the other is a brand name - all Kleenex are tissues, but not all tissues are Kleenex. So basically the only way to know if your dragon is a Sandfire is if you know that he or his parents/bloodline came from Sandfire Dragon Ranch.
