Bearded dragon face-rubbing?

My bearded Dragon Deano keeps rubbing his face against his basking rock, log etc and it must be annoying him.
Has anyone any information as to why? Or is this general behavior?

He's going to start shedding very soon.

Mine was doing the exact same and a day or 2 later i noticed he was shedding around his mouth and neck

Thank you for your replies! sometimes logic goes out the window due to worry!
His head has started going white now which makes sense.
