Is it better to have a simple enclosure design for a young BD? Will more decor stress out the little guy? How much is too much?

I've found that the little ones like to have space to roam around. They especially like to climb so if you have an enclosure that is tall it will be helpful. You could put branches and vines for a little guy to climb around on. It's good to have a combination of easy to access basking areas, hides and shade areas, and some open space for hunting.

Here is the enclosure. I have spent so many hours working on the temps and decorations. I took your advice and zip tied the UVB bulb on top of the screen so it's facing down on him. Let me know what you think?

That looks like it will do quite nicely. How is your temperature gradient? There are plenty of spots to bask and climb around on along with some shade and hides. Looks like a winner to me.

Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
