How long will it take for them to start to eat

hi there. not sure what you are trying to get at, but we took bernard into our care when he was about 6 weeks old and he ate just fine. how old is the beardie that you are referencing?

If you buy a baby and bring it home, it may not eat for a day or two while it's adjusting to its new environment.

I have 9 that hatch thursday I have greens and 3 cricks they are scared of them

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, because I've never actually seen babies who have just emerged from their eggs, except in pictures, but from what I understand, newborn babies, who have just hatched, have an yolk sack attached to the underside of them, and usually won't eat until this has been absorbed, which may take a day or two. However, you do need to provide them with some source of fluids, in order to make sure that they don't become dehydrated, which can happen extremely quickly to the little ones.

Once their yolk sac has been absorbed, then you will need to provide them with pinhead sized crickets 3 times a day, and let them have as many as they will eat within a 15 minute period. Any that aren't eaten should be removed from their tank until the next feeding. It is extremely important that they be well fed at least 3 times daily, and given an adequate amount to fill them up, or they will turn on each other and start biting off tails and limbs, if they are not given enough food to keep them satisified!

At that age, pinhead crickets may be all that they'll eat, since most won't try any sort of veggies until they're much older. It is a good idea to expose babies to vegetables by offering them, but most won't eat them until they become a bit larger, as juveniles, and even then some won't try them until they become adults.

Babies should also be separated by size, with no more than 5 to a tank once they're removed from their incubator, or the larger ones may attack the smaller ones, especially if you allow them to become too hungry. And all tanks should have the proper lighting and temperatures, just as a tank for an adult would!

Babies should start to eat within a couple days. You need to have small crickets no larger than 1/4" and don't leave them in the container. As long as the crickets you get are properly sized 1/4" are good pinhead way to small. You typically want to leave hatchlings in the incubator to adjust for the better part of a day. Some will say 24 hours I don't go that long. Make sure they have some water or mist them occasionally. Make sure temps are appropriate.
