Yes Deb, I was glad that she ate butterworms on her own and today she ate a few phoenix worms out of her dish too. She ate the most greens today than she has since she'd arrived. I had been putting her dish of greens in and placing a few on a folded up paper towel and she's been eating most of those. But, today she ate all the ones on the paper towel and almost all of the ones in her dish besides, of course, there were a few scattered around too. She has really settled in.
I had tried to feed all the others in a separate feeding container when they were little but it never worked out and they just gave me that look that you explained. I had to work today so I didn't try the container feeding with Angie yet but I think I will give it a try tomorrow morning with some crickets and see how it goes.
She is shedding around her eyes and the top of her head has turned a little darker so a shed coming along there too. She THOROUGHLY enjoyed her
bath tonight and was swimming and making jerky movements all around it. Seems so good to see her relax and enjoy herself while burning off some energy at the same time. She took a 3rd poop in her
bath and was about to eat it before I could take it out but then she moved away from it. Her colors were so vibrant in her
bath with a totally white belly, chest and beard. Like a dummy, I forgot to take my camera in the kitchen with me and didn't dare walk away from her for a second.
You ought to see her with Josh. I was holding her late this afternoon while sitting at the table. Usually babies (especially) will act jumpy and pull their heads down when someone stands over them, but when Josh stood there, she raised her head way up high watching him and just waiting for him to stroke her beard. She watches him walk everywhere with total interest, it's so cute. She isn't a cuddler quite yet as she is so quick and active but she does snuggle down into our hands.
Here's some pictures I took after her
bath, I think I captured her bright coloring quite well this time. You can see the area loosening up around her mouth. There's a little poop on her log that is now all cleaned up. I had to wait for her to go to sleep before removing her log since she's on it constantly.
