Angie, Loki, Laura & Dozer (new pics 03/29/15)

I wanted to introduce everyone to our new girl. She is on her way now from Denver, CO. I will post some new pictures tomorrow but these are the ones we have so far. She is part leatherback.

I thought the background might be too similar to his coloring. The background in #4 is exactly the same as the others but I messed around with the coloring a little. I thought #5 looked a little blurry in his face.

I don't think I moved my hands at all when using the macro, I tried several times and all blurred. :roll:

Did you get a focus 'square' when you half pressed the shutter button?? It should point at the area you want to be most clear. If you didn't see a square, then it didn't focus correctly.

That's what I have to do with macro, too, press it 1/2 way down to get the square, then press down completely, then there isn't any blurring, try that Diane, might work better.

Yes Gina & Deb, I see the square and put that right on the area that I want it to focus on. Looks nice and clear but then when I push the shutter button all the way down, the picture is completely blurred. :dontknow: Is there maybe another setting on the camera that is supposed to work WITH the macro setting that I might now have set right?

Ok, I think I have the macro setting down. The battery in the camera was flashing when I was trying it out again so I replaced the battery and took some pics of our rubber beardie and they came out clear. Saturday afternoon I will try again on the real beardies. Thanks for the help.

Wait a minute. I don't know why I thought 19 months. Squirt and Loki were both hatched on June 18th 2012, which makes them 15 months old. I think I read that your other female, Angeline, was 19 months. Is this correct? or am I to tired and have no brain power at the moment.

Oh my goodness You're right Lori, they're 15 MONTHS. I just went by what you said and never gave it another thought tonight, guess I'm tired too! Guess I better edit my birthday wishes to PeeWee too.

At Keegan's preschool last night, I walked by a "cubbie" with the name Loki on it about 20 times and all I thought of was...YOU! Hahaha! I was like...of all the names...in all the places...

I was JUST about to update my own thread with the picture of Batman exactly 3 months ago today. He was so so sick and Diane would NOT let me give up. She's a blessing to our family.

She's a blessing to me & mine, too. We've both been through a lot with our beardies and it's been great to have someone supportive when things go wrong. So I'm glad she was there for you and Batman & look at him today, he's beautiful & you have a lot more confidence

Loki appreciates the birthday wishes Kristine and Deb. That's funny that you saw the name Loki and thought of me, that was very sweet.

I appreciate the nice compliments from both of you, it means a lot. I know how devastating it can be having an ill beardie, tears your heart out so I am always willing to help in any way I can. So many others here have been a big help to me too, we're one big beardie family.
