Adventures with Doodles....New Pics of the Crew!

Doodles went for a romp around the living room today, I snapped a few pictures while Lydia wasn't trying to get in my way. Such spoiled & silly babies....

I just got around to uploading a couple pictures, Doodles has been sleeping in weird spots & giving me a stinkeye every time I look at her. She's such a grumpy girl lately.

She's looking at me like I'M the one that made her sleep in such an uncomfortable spot...

Doodles kicked up the flannel blankey & shelf liner under her hide, and is laying on the glass beneath it. :lol:

I want my lovely active girl back. She's always so upset if I take her out of her tank & she's all dark orange. Hopefully she comes out of her funk sooner rather than later

Doodles looks like she should be an actress in cast away or titanic with holding onto that branch with that face hahah

I also find it funny that she always has her tongue out in the pics, it's like she does it on purpose. Such a pretty girl though.

It's driving me crazy! This is her first time brumating, and I feel like I'm going to be fighting the urge to bring home a baby ALL WINTER LONG because I have no one to play with.

I got Myah specifically to be my baby "fill in" I'm not able to have anymore people children. I was very blessed with one beautiful daughter but oh, she's very busy now. At 6yrs old she's the belle of the neighborhood and she always over at a friends house or her friends are always here. No time for poor old mama I spent a full year getting Myah up to a healthy weight, showing her that people are nothing to fear and we can be trusted and clearing her of coccidia. I had reached all of my goals then, Brumation! :shock: A whole year of VERY hard work and no snuggles at the end for me Once she wakes up, it will all be worth it but I feel like I haven't gotten the chance to just enjoy her no strings attatched. Come on warm weather! We miss our babies!

So today I woke Doodles up to give her a bath, needless to say she was NOT very happy about that... She actually tried so quick to scramble up my arm that she fell off, and her little head fell under the water for a second I'm worried she might have inhaled some water, & I don't want her getting sick while she's brumating I feel like such a terrible beardie mom. Doodles didn't seem too affected by it, she puffed her beard in & out a couple times but that was all. After she was in the water she just chilled though. I did notice a strange tint to the bottom of her back foot though, I'll be posting something in the Health section about it because I'm not quite sure if it's normal (EDIT: Done! Here's the link to that post viewtopic.php?f=6&t=181261)... Anyway, after Doodles' bath I offered her some worms (which she ignored) and she roamed around the living room a little bit, so I took a few pictures

This is how Doodles is passed out right now on the couch next to me. She fell asleep there so I put her tiny fleece over her to keep her warm... :love5:

No help on that health thread, anyone? Like, are Doodles' feet just covered in some old poo I can't scrub off? Or are her feet gonna fall off? (okay, maybe not something that dramatic, but still, she's my baby and I'm sure you all can understand that I get paranoid when something seems different with her, lol)

Anyway, I'm discovering a little bit of a pattern with Doodles' brumation, so far. She'll just pass out in her hide for 3 days, and then I'll wake her up for her bath. After that she'll lay around and be grumpy on the warm side of her tank for about 2 days, then she gets another bath, and then it's back to the hide. The first few times that she woke up she ate a few worms, but yesterday she completely ignored the worms I put in her bowl. Right now she's staring at me from the log in the front of her warm side, giving me the stink-eye like I'm making her stay awake over there.

It really is! I only have a few pictures of her without her tongue sticking out, but whenever the camera's not out her mouth is always closed! She's such a goof :mrgreen:

Just a quick question...why are you getting her up after only 3 days sleeping...you can let them sleep for a week to 10 days between their baths...just curious??
By the way..I love her colors...she is beautiful!!
