Adventures with Doodles....New Pics of the Crew!

Doodles went for a romp around the living room today, I snapped a few pictures while Lydia wasn't trying to get in my way. Such spoiled & silly babies....

Okay, camera cord found! I only really have pictures of Toast for now, Butters didn't want to be held when I was cleaning their tank earlier.

Here's where they both like to sleep, they were sleeping nose to nose before I lifted the top off of the tank. Toast is on the left, Butters is on the right

Toast tried climbing on top of Butters to get away from me after I took their vine away

Toast on the left, Butters on the right (Butters isn't really that small, she's just wedged into the corner pretty good lol)

Toast wandered around on my hand for a little bit

She actually sat & chilled here for a minute, I think she's starting to like me? :mrgreen:

Here's a picture from the first day that I got her. Does she look like she's grown??

She tried to climb up the corner of her tank after I put her back in :lol:

I'm leaving all of my babies for a night over Christmas next week, I have a friend coming to feed the geckos and check on Doodles but I'm still nervous about leaving them!! My friend isn't really a reptile person, but she's the only person I trust that will be in town the night that I'll be gone.

So, Doodles crawled out of her hide yesterday, so I took that opportunity to give her a bath. I decided to just use my kitchen sink this time instead of my bathtub, it was much easier to clean than the tub. :mrgreen: Doodles is almost too big for the sink! But she didn't try to climb out, like she used to when she was smaller.

"ohhey, there's water in here? good, i'm thirsty!"

she had to readjust herself before taking another big drink :lol:

Today Doodles is back in her cave, peeking her head out just a little bit :roll: Sometimes it feels like I'm never gonna get my spunky girl back.
Just a small update with Butters & Toast: I was refreshing the moss in the humid hide today, and found two little shed gecko feets! So precious and tiny, like little gloves <3 Also awesome because it means my babies are growing! I'm hoping they'll calm down a bit so I can sex them soon, it'd be nice to know before too long if I have to budget for TWO 20gals or just one :roll:

I was about to get upset that there wasn't the Doodle's infamous tongue picture.... and then I saw this and laughed.

Mine finally started sleeping next to eachother and climbing on each other lol They now come out when I enter the room thank goodness.


I'm sure all your babies will be fine Just make sure your friend has easy feeders to handle lol like supers or phoenix worms so she won't freak out haha

Oh, my gosh! I don't know what pics I like more! I love Doodles drinking and I love the breakfast club! If Toast is climbing on Butters, then, does that make them a club sandwich!? :lol:

I have things to say to everyone's comments, but I don't have time to type it now, I just have to say something though.
My favorite part about the leopard geckos: Every morning I wake up, and one of them will be sprawled out on the floor in front of the hot hide, taking a nap with double sexy legs (it usually alternates daily). This morning it's Butters. IT'S SO CUTE! :love5: One of these days they might even let me take a picture of it :lol: Also, progress! I refilled their worm dish since I'm awake so early, and Butters didn't run and hide when I put my hand into the tank! I just love having babies in the house, LOL :lol:

my leos like to "alligator" or "Crocodile". they lay out looking like crocs sunning themselves ALL the time and it cracks me up. XD

Happy New Year everyone! Man I have had a busy couple of weeks.
Doodles is still doing her grumpy semi-brumation thing, right now she's poking her head out of her hide & giving me stinkeyes... :roll: She's been staying awake a lot more recently, so I've been giving her baths every other day because she's been looking wrinkly. It seems like no matter how much water she drinks in the bath, she's still got wrinkles. Argh. She's still not interested in eating anything, I've got some phoenix worms coming this week so maybe she'll eat some of those. I miss my happy chubby girl, I feel like she's been brumating FOREVER, this is the start of month 4...

Butters and Toast are doing great! I had to separate them a little over a week ago, I noticed Butters was growing pretty quickly while Toast was on the smaller side and always hiding. Now they're in 2 10gals for now, I can't really afford 2 20gals just yet but they're doing fine how they are. I moved Toast into the new tank, so she wasn't still surrounded by Butters' smell. They have almost identical tank setups, aside from one different vine plant (so Toast wouldn't be too freaked out in a new place). Now that they're separated I can tell Toast is eating more, she's looking like she's bulkin' up and getting ready to shed soon. They're both very funny though, because they poop in the same spot even in separate tanks (on top of the cool hide, hidden inside the vines and on the wall of the tank :roll: ) Butters had a little problem with some stuck shed on her head and eyelid/eye a couple of days ago. I tried to up the humidity in her tank a bit and gave her a couple of warm baths, and now she's good as new I was really nervous about the skin stuck on her eye though. I still can't really hold either of them for very long, or very far away from their tanks. Butters took 2 flying death leaps from my hand in one day! Luckily I was holding her close to the ground, in case something ridiculous like that happened. I can tell I'm making progress with them though, they don't run and hide when I take their food dishes out to refill them anymore, and they rarely run away from my hands :mrgreen:

I will have a big post coming with pictures soon, I have a TON that I've taken on my camera and my new phone, I've just got to get some cleaning & real-person tasks out of the way before I surrender my life to photobucket, lol!

Doodles is more active today than I've seen her in months!! Maybe my sweet baby is finally coming out of her winter slump! She's not eating a lot yet but she's got Phoenix worms in her tank, she's running around like a maniac jumping all over her stuff right now, it's so funny!
