150 Gal tank to big?

i am designing a tank for my beardie and the dimensions are 60" by 24" by 24". would there be any problems with a tank this size?

I personally would love a tank that big if I was a beardie!
As long as the UVB is mounted inside the cage (because they need to be 6-12" away from it), I don't forsee any problems with a setup that size

A tank that big would be awesome Just have to make sure (of course) that you get the temps right and that your dragon has good access to UVB.

that is an awesome size tank that would be great for a beardie but as the guys said above aslong as you get the right temps on both the cool end and the basking spot then you have nothing to worry about. as for the uvb what i have done is im using a 12% arcadia T5 bulb which is 22 inches long in a 4ft tank but mine is right above the basking spot so when he bask which is the most important time after eating or waking up he gets his full uvb when he basks and he is 6-10 inches from it if you do that you wont need a massive long uvb bulb around the tank. make sure you post pics up i would like to see this viv

i will definitely post some pictures. im still trying to figure out what i want inside (as far as looks). my beardies name is Alduin so i want to go all out and make it skyrim themed.

ha Thanks. here is a picture of his tank about a month ago. i have changes the thermometer to a probe one, and he now has a reptisun mounted inside his tank under to screen.

That shout wall/background is awesome! I'm actually working on a video game theme myself for my enclosure. Want to make it look like a testing room from Portal 2. It's getting there.

i would love to see some pictures when its all done. in his new tank im going to make a fake rock wall for the background and I thing im going to make a bridge that looks like the stone ones in skyrim.

Wow, that size is big and would be good for you beardie during playtime! Just make sure that lighting is installed accurately so it won't be difficult for him during basking. I can't wait to see the design afterwards!
