Concerned at large behaviour change in my 2 young.

beardies don't like change so it could be that they're settling in to a. the new environment and b. getting used to the absence of each other. good that you've seperated though. hopefully they'll pick up again soon when they get used to the change

    Repto isnt growing

his appetite will probably increase once hes settled in fully. Mine never ate a massive amount when she was a baby and seemed like she was a slow grower....now at 2 years old she's over 18.5 inches. Have fun with the new baby :D

    Repto isnt growing

hi as he's still a baby you need to increase his food intake- they should eat as much as they can in a 10-15 minute period 2-3 times a day- 15 crickets a day for a baby/juvie is too little. Some babies can eat 30-100 crickets per day. Also they should be dusted with calcium 5 times a week and...

Are babies more active than adults?

babies are very active compared to adults. my beardie is nearly 2 years old and she's quite lazy. i got her when she was 4 months old and there's a huge difference in the way she behaves now to when she was a baby. when she was a baby she used to run around all over but now she just likes to...

    IS anything wrong???

when they get older they get less active- i'm sure everything is ok. Sometimes my beardie sits in the same place all day, she's very lazy.

    WHEN WILL HE CALM DOWN?????

My beardie is nearly 2yrs old and i've had her since she was 4 months old. When i first got her she was like yours- very jumpy and i thought she'd never settle. I used to handle her little and often and made sure i held her near the floor so if she did jump it wouldn't be far. I also held her...

    Another won't eat thread......sorry...

shedding can cause them to lose their appetite....it can also make them lethargic and grumpy. Once he's finished shedding his appetite will come back so don't worry, its completely normal and natural :D

Jumping at her fluorescent light all the time!

i'm not 100% sure why they do this but my beardie, who i've had for 1 year sometimes tries to jump on her light too....think it might be because they like to climb and they're just interested in getting higher??!!

    Possible Impaction... :$

I know!!! i used to worry constantly when mine was a baby- i've relaxed a lot now as she's 18 months, but the worry still crops up now and again lol.

    Possible Impaction... :$

When mine was younger and shedding her bowel movements would sometimes stop during the shedding process. Just keep doing what your doing with the baths and if after he's shed, if he still hasn't pooped then try some applesauce or prune juice which can often help. It's more than likely that he's...

Help please: still hasn't laid her eggs :(

Still no eggs (small poop but no eating either). She's still burrowing but she's not as restless as she was since i put the lay box in. I've been bathing her most nights to see if that would help but it hasn't. She looks happy enough but has been a bit more tired than usual at the end of her day...

Help please: still hasn't laid her eggs :(

Hi my beardie is 17 months and never been near a male. She is healthy and a good weight. She seemed to be going through semi brumation a few weeks back then all of a sudden became very lively and active- digging, glass dancing, brightly coloured etc- very out of character for her since except...

George Is hardly eating ANYTHING :(

i used to give her the occasional locust when she was about 8 months, as well as crickets- you can get them in small sizes for younger beardies but often once they get the taste for locusts they don't often go back to crickets. However, if yours wont touch many crickets anyway you could try...

    Black Crickets?

I don't think there's any difference between the black and brown- my beardie didn't like the brown crickets as they were too jumpy and she was a bit wary of them. I found the black to be calmer and slower so prefered the black over brown.

    Water-poo?

Its hard to determine from just the wrinkles- i know its a sign of dehydration but even though mine gets them, she also drinks water every couple of days, gets baths etc and expells water sometimes so i doubt she's dehydrated- when i took her to vet for check up nothing was mentioned about...

    Water-poo?

mine is wrinkly too depending on what position she is standing in and my beardie is also well hydrated- she loves drinking water from a dropper and gets regular baths. I think when they say to look for wrinkled skin it's if they are wrinkly constantly and if the winkles stay tent and don't...
