So I take it the charts you made yourself to remind you of Zinger's feeding times, etc. have worked well if they think you are now ready for breading? Now all you need is an adult female that Zinger can't resist

Red pepper was one of Jasper's favourites too! Just don't be alarmed if you see a red tinge or some red pieces when he does poop for you. I had a mini heart attack when Jas did it, until I figured out it was from the peppers.

To Elora: I can do it, I just need help dumping the sand. I don't wanna break his viv!

UPDATE:

This morning, I was gently talking to him as he slept away on his log. He opened a sleepy eye and me, but not much more. I opened his terrarium and gently and slowly lowered my finger to pet him so I would scare him. I touched his head and BLAM!!! He shoots into the air, limbs flailing, tail squirming! He then proceeded to get the biggest beard puff I have ever seen and hissed and pancaked at me. I was about to cry because I felt so bad. I went, "Zinger! You po-or ba-abyyy...." Then I picked him up and held and snuggled him for 10 minutes. I could feel his fear. I was afraid he would hold a grudge, but when I came home, he was ready to eat and snuggle.

You could just take a bucket and a little shovel and scoop it out this way you get it out of his cage-
Good Luck!

The problem is, I want to thoroughly clean it.

Yesterday, I came into my room to find an exceptionally large pile of doo in his cage.

As I come closer, I realize it is INCREDIBLY red. I FREAKED OUT!!! Then, I remembered something. I have been feeding him bell peppers. Then I relaxed.

As for the substrate, I have been doing all I can to get my dad to get the shop vac and empty out the sand or SOMETHING. I am becoming very impatient....

Whew, you scared me when I saw Blood! Thank goodness Zinger is just a pepper glutton.

When I switched my 3 to tile over shelf-liner I used a plastic cup to scoop the sand out (took forever!!), then I vacuumed it out (had to put the vacuum on a chair so the hose would reach in), then spray spray, wipe wipe... It was exhausting and took hours. I recruited help for the next two and we just dumped it out in the yard and hosed the sucker down! Maybe you could rally a couple of friends together OR give your dad your most pitiful look and fake cry.

Ok, well i have been home sick a few days and I may need to have my gulbladder removed. Great, lol.

ZINGER:

Last night, after he pooped, he had a small brownish semi-transparent thing hanging out of his bum. Just to be safe, I was going to tuck it back in and take him to the vet. As we were (gently) spreading his vent, it came out. I was like  :puke:

I hope it wasn't a parasite. Well, he's going to the vet to get a fecal and a 10 month check-up anyway, so I guess we will find out...

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
