Just thought we could start identifying things around the house that indicate a house full of beardies, i.e. You know you're living with beardies when...
while barefoot, you step on a thorn. When you remove it, it's actually a shedded beardie scale!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Crickets sing from all corners WITHIN the house!

You know you're living with beardies when...
Your refrigerator is full of worms and this is a very good thing, not a sign for a serious cleaning job!

I know there are many more ways that show others we are doing things a little bit differently! So, how do you know you're living with beardies?

...when you speed home from dinner out because you are worried that you'll miss lights out and his majesty will be MAD that he didn't get snuggled to sleep.

OR
...you have to go out of town for one night and you leave lists and instructions all over the house so no one will forget EXACTLY how to feed my baby.

Actually I've been lucky enough to spend all day every day for the past 7 years observing beardies.

Yep! Gives new meaning to "bearded lady" :lol: (Definitely not the circus type, although I'm sure your house is pretty much like one at the moment :wink: )

Hahaha, this made me giggle.

You know your living with beardies when:-

1.You definately feel upset about misssing out on pre bed time cuddles and the lights go out.
2.You rush home from work to see her royal heighness.
3.You go on holiday and feel upset whilst boarding the plane and missing said beardie and giving the baby sitter a million and one instructions.
4.You make several phone calls whilst on holiday to baby sitter.
5.You sing your favourite slushy songs to her!
6.Call her Mummy's favourite girl.
7.Have your mother be your beardies grandma!!
8.Worry about her
9.Massage her tummy when she's not pooping!


And I wouldn't change a darn thing! XXXX

I went to Illinois for a week so my mom could visit my aunt. (didn't do what I was going to originally because of my groundation) The baby won't even look at me. I tried to cuddle him and he pulled away. He has been sulking ever since I came home. He is fine with my dad, I just think he is angry at me because I left him.

i suppose he is! I just tried to give him goodnight snuggles and he ran away from me. Apparently, I am wanted no more than a poke with a sharp stick to him! :x I just want him to come around. Maybe he will be better by morning

Aw Haley, don't worry. Why not get him outta his viv, say half an hour before bed time and get the snuggles in then? I know last year we went to Turkey on holiday for a week and Pan was furious with me. Never have I been so snubbed before. He'll come round so try not to feel up set hun.

Gem still runs away when I try to get her out. Well, hobbles. She'll forever be handi-capable (but I digress). I just grab her and FORCE snuggles upon the reluctant dragon. She glares at me for a little while, then literally sighs and buttwiggles, and is comfy and content. She just thinks that Mum is ruining her 'tough girl' image! :lol:

MoMo, on the other hand, hates me when I put her back! :roll:

Zinger will come around, and realize who mummy is! BTW.... because of you.... I can no longer eat Zingers. The little high-calorie snacks. :lol: So thank you, Haley, for forcing me off of the junk food.

You find a live hornworm between your couch cushions. :?

A few months ago we got our first shipment of hornworms.. and I didn't know you weren't supposed to remove the fabric covering the holes in the lid. We kept them on a bookcase in our living room.

I'm in bed one night and having a dream where something is pinching my index finger... It was persistent, so I woke up. There was a 2 inch live hornworm on my finger. It had travelled all the way from the living room to our bedroom and up into the bed.

So I'll add...

I love this thread!!!!! Butt wiggles is a great way of describing them when they are trying to get comfy! I brought Pan into bed with me the other night for cuddles whilst I was watching a film. She got really snuggled in and carried on watching the film with me! God I love her!
