Thank you for the advice, but it is hard to get him to eat his veges, he does not like them. There is this purple lettuce that comes in a bag of mixed greens it's very soft and he loves it but I don't know the name of it, I guess I am going to have to do tough love then.

Do not feed lettuce to your dragon. It is just water and fiber no nutruition. Feed collards, mustard and turnip greens. Can be found in salad area of store or frozen section. Butternut squash is loved also.

Right, Romaine isn't great. When people say 'salads' they mean 'greens' like turnip, mustard and collard.

I'm just starting to really want to try different veggies and fruits in their salads since I do have a few picky eaters. Have you seen the beautiful dragons page on nutrition? It really helps to know what to shop for, since some kinds of veggies are better than others!

It's not easy that is for sure. I have left them only salad before several times and I feel pretty badly about it. Only one of my dragons absolutely refuses to eat salad, and he was a rescue dragon that is very deformed from MBD, so I cut him some slack.
