Wont open one eye!!!

My bearded dragon is still a juvenile and she wont open her eye. She used to jump from her perches and now she wont climb up them at all and I'm wondering if that's how she hirt hurtself. Posting a picture of her eye.

What are you using for a UVB? Brand and bulb and is it a coil or tube? Where in the tank is it? Substrate? what are you using ? Any colored bulbs? Use some regular saline solution on her eye and then some raw unpasteurized honey like Manuka on it that will kill any infection going on --- make sure there are NO crickets in the tank they will go straight for the eye ---

So I just realized that I think I am using those horrible bulbs that burn the eyes!!!!! Can you please send me a link of a safe UVB?

I just soaked the eye and she is opening it now. Seemed to have some gunk stuck to the lids. I turned off her UVB for now

The tank is what size? Does it have a screen that is like a fine mesh or a wide hole type--- what are you using for a UVB please post a pic of it
this is what you need for a 40+ gallon tank
a 24" fixture https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/zoo-med-reptisun-t5-ho-terrarium-hood.html this comes w/ a 5.0 bulb hang onto it use it for a back up but it has different placement and distance for the one you need

Make sure your using a digital probe thermometer for your basking temps -- stick ons are not accurate

it will be trial and error w/ basking bulbs
when you get the new UVB please post back on here so I can help you get it set up -- they have certain distance and placement

Ok get her outside for some good UVB- place her in a plastic tote NO GLASS- temps need to be 65 or better - make sure you supervise her while outside she needs to be out for 15 minutes or longer have her in direct sunlight- watch her you don't want to burn her up- do this everyday till your uvb comes- keep washing the eye out--- but it was more than likely that uvb your were using they are notorious for eye issues

I am heartbroken that this has happened. I was also wondering how do I know what is a good screen cover so the lights arent too strong?

The UVB I posted for you is one of the safe lights- the bright white basking bulb is also good as long as it's directly above the basking decor- your screen won't effect the eyes it will effect the UVB rays getting thru it--- and it also needs to be directly above the basking decor-- shining downward - when it comes post on here I will help you get it set up
