Where'd you get your beardies name?

i chose Rico because my iguana was origionaly spike then i thought that was to generic so i picked Rico then i found out she was a girl so she went to Rita then when i got my BD i still liked the name Rco so i stuck with that

I have all these names for my next beardies, but it all really comes down to their personalities what they will end up being called. The names you have for your dragons all have wonderful meanings and I enjoyed reading your reply!

Especially Tweezie and Nefertiti. I bet Tweezie is definitely an interesting looking dragon!

My new guy is named Ebenezer. His bottom jaw protrudes a little and he reminds me of a crotchety old man...hence the name. Our green iguana is Emerald (due to "her" color when we got "her") but we call "her" Emma...if it turns out to be a boy then it'll be Emeril or Emmit. Our dogs are Drexel, the pimp from the movie True Romance, and Fagan, a camping resort my ex husband and I used to go to.

Boga
Boga is a varactyl in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith, Obi-Wan picks her to ride on while looking for General Greivous on the planet Utapau. The creature then dies by getting shot and drowned during Order 66.

So that's where we got Boga.

^^ Thats funny cause I play(ed) Star Wars Galaxies, the MMO and had a pet Varactyl that I named Turbo -> (I'm a total gear head and have a custom build and turbocharged Cavalier.)

So Turbo for the Beardy and thats where it came from (I'm picking him up tomorrow) hope his name fits him!

My Cat's name is Link, after Link in Zelda. The boyfriend & I came up with it because we like video games and dhe actually looked like a little Linx when he was a kitten, so it fit!

Don't worry Epic a good name will come to you as his personality becomes more apparent.

Barbara, I had never noticed the RD on RD's side before. That is amazing!!
Even when you first posted the pic saying the pic explains the name, I didnt see it. Once I finally found it, it is all I see now! I dont know how I missed it. Anway, that is just waaayyy toooo cooool!

All the names for my animals have some sort of mythological, Dungeons&Dragons, or literary root. Falthazur was named after a desert dragon (A red x blue for you D&D people...) character that my friend writes about. She'd moved away a few weeks before I settled on a bearded dragon to get around my dad's phobia of snakes (who would have been named Midguard or Orobouros) and I promised her that if I got a beardie or any other desert lizard, I'd name him after Falthazur. Does not live up to his namesake at all. XD I almost wish I would have waited to get Fal, because her other dragon, Zipsahadiel, fits him so much more (plus Zip sounds cuter and more fitting than Fal XP).

My males name is Didge it came from didgeridoo.
My females name is Digby, my wife came up with it she wanted to stick with the "D" names and have it similar.

Hopefully when we move this spring we will be getting one more male and one more female. So i will be looking for more D names.

I got Plato from him always "studying" his food before he would eat it. It sometimes be a minute before he'd chomp into something.

Our red baby female actually ran up to Plato and rammed him then bobbed her head. Also when she waved she looked like a princess so my girlfriend named her Athena, Goddess of war

Servo is something from my miniature wargames and I just thought it sounded cool for a snake.

Right now we call the new baby, Baby Number 2 lol caused we haven't found a name for her yet.

Some great names and stories out there, thanks for sharing. Our little guy/girls name is Komo. A tribute to the Mountain that dominates our easterly skyline. The mountains official name is Mt. Baker but the natives in the area called it Komo Kulshan. Seems to have a number of meanings but "great white one" was predominate one. Without further to do, here is Komo and Komo Kulshan (Mt. Baker)

Falthazur only lived up to one part of his namesake and that's being lazy. He refuses to chase crickets on his own. He has to be slightly pushed towards clumps of them before he starts eating. Not with the roach though... :twisted:
