Where'd you get your beardies name?

Waffle was named from the cartoon Catscratch. There was a cat on there named Waffle, and he had his own pet Newts. I thought Waffle was a cool name, makes me laugh.

Foster came from the cartoon Fosters Home. I love that cartoon. Eduardo is my favorite on there, but I didnt like the name Eduardo for my beardie. I decided on Foster. (also, I dont know if you remember or not, but there use to be a commercial for Foster's beer, it said "Foster's it's Austrailian for beer")

Aww Foster fits perfectly then! I love Fosters Home too! It's weirdly hilarious. I love the one where Cheese gets lost and when Blue finds him he gives him a hug and all Cheese says is "I pooted"

I debated naming Dave, Philbert instead. You know from Rocko's Modern Life? haha. But it didn't fit him.

I know I am so lame.... I named Puff, "Puff" because of Puff the Magic Dragon... that was before I got on this forum and realized how lame and common it was...

The peopIe who had him before called him "big boy" and I didnt like that, I almost named him Spike because everyone's name in my house starts with an S (totally accidental)including my bf and I except our outcast cat Nubby....
But Nubby is nubby because he has a nub for a tail... I guess I should change Nubby's name to Stumpy and name Puff, Spike? Or maybe something different with an S!

We named our first BD Smaug after the dragon is The Hobbit. Smaug lived in the cave where Bilbo found the ring.

We adopted a yellow BD who is 3 yrs old his name was Big Daddy. Stupid name. We renamed him Quetzal after the Mexican sun god who also happens to be the name sake for the gold dragon on nthe PBS cartoon DragonTales.

i named my first BD, Mischief just because he was a little devil when i first got him, apparently he was going through his teens, lol, he just to race about away from me, puff his beard up and hiss at me so i always think hes mischevious! hes good as gold now but still has that cheeky look about him when he looks at me so his name still suits him well.

my second BD, i named Venus, her original name was victoria, the girl i bought her from used to have a male named david and im certainly not a fan of the beckhams but decided to keep the V and as shes a real beauty, Venus suited her, its after the planet and the name is after the roman goddess of love and beauty.

i also have corn snakes named Scales, because he was my very first reptile and had no idea id be getting loads more, lol,
the second was Missy because i thought id only ever have those two and she was my only female,
then came along Skitzy, because she is a mad one,
then poppy, no idea why my dad named her as she was originally his
than Diaga, shes the baby of scales and skitzy, i watched an anaconda documentary once and the female anaconda that was laying eggs through a draught was named diaga and loved the name.
and my last is Bailey, purely because bailey is my fave alcoholic drink and hes got the colouring of the drink also inbetween his patterns.

ok i first names my beardie bertram lol buit just didnt fit

then i was watching kingpin lol it was on tv and there was nothing else on


and the one guys name was stanley and i was like OMG i loove that name so stanley it is


and as far as other animals i have too many to say the reason for all of them and none of the other ones have names for a certain reason lol

oh well i wil do it anyway

ok 2 chinchillas bailey and cedric - they were named by the person who surrendered them to the chinchilla shelter and i like the names

i dont beleive in changing an already namd animal unless they are named something really stupid lol

my cat wendy - already had a name i adopted her from a shelter i used to volunteer at( it is w-END-y b/c she had to have her tail amputated(when the shelter got her) b/c it was all black and dead)

my brother named his cat kakashi from naruto(my brother watches the show) but kakashi is my favorite charachature(sp?) and it is one of the better names on the show

i have 3 dogs lunis(my brother named her, princess and moochie(he begs alll the time lol we give them a biscuit after they come inside from going potty so sometimes he will run out onto the poarch and then run right back in and bark b/c he wants a treat lol)

i also have a ferret named tigger- b/c she bounces around lol

i have 13 dwarf hamsters(2 accidental litters hey were supposed to be all male lol and before i realized the one was pregnant she had the babies and the male mated with her before i knew about it lol) anyway

one is names bloo and the other is named mac form fosters home i am going to name the others with that theme too but havnt gotten around to it lol(it has been several months lol) i am lazy lmao

my favorite episode is the one with berry(if you havnt seen it you tube it) it is hilarious lol

my crested gecko is named turk- i love scrubs and that name

a parakeet named eva- no specific reason

a blue tongued skink named azul- spanish fo blue lol

2 whites tree frogs blue and green- i have a blue one and a green one lol

3 leopard geckos echo(the gecko lol) snowy(mac snow) and pinky(she is pink lol an albino )

than my brother also has 3 leopard geckos raven, lol i cant remember the other 2 he changes all the time(they are newish so nothing has stuck yet lol)

4 pygmy chameleons eeny meeny miny and moe- from that little rhyme lol i have four and one is male it fits and i like multiple to have a theme name lol

a tokay named grumpy lol

and a pacman fog named tubby- b/c they are soo fat lol

then i have 4 hermit crabs with out names they change shells so i would never be able to tell the difference

and then i have a bunch of fish without names

i think that is everyone lol

Kuru is short for Kurukadi which is the male of the Iguana twin spirits in which became their gemini after defeating a moon deity

Zeus got his name from the movie anchorman. the part it comes from is when will ferrel's character ron burgandy realizes he's sworn on live tv. to which he responds "BY THE BEARD OF ZEUS!" and i figured beard to bearded dragon wasnt a far stretch.
