weird poop

I am concerned about Rexys poo. It seems to have a film surrounding it. She acts normal her temps are fine. Is it parasites?

In addition to my other post, it may be mucus surrounding the poo, it is solid pieces with like a clearish whitish film around it. It never used to look like that. What is going on with her? :?

How often is she pooing? If she's a bit constipated, some mucus is normal, it's the body's way of "lubricating" the poo to make it a bit easier to pass. Are you giving frequent baths?

She may be constipated, she used to go every day now it is like everyday or every other day sometimes two. I give her a bath about three times a week

When I first read this I instantly thought parasite. However I think we should try treating for an impaction before trying parasite for many of them
antibiotics are very hard on a bearded dragon's system. Have you felt the right side of his belly? Gently rub your finger up along his leg down to his
vent, or where he defecates, to see if you feel something hard. Sometimes depending where the impaction is, how big it is, if it is starting to break
down and whatnot you can feel it.

Another quick question, is he eating well? Having a loss of appetite can be a sign of an impaction.

If you would like to try treating the impaction to see what happens, if thats what he has, then give only soft foods. You can get veggie, and chicken
baby food, mix them, or have them eat them seperate doesn't matter much. Then warm it up a little, and try giving it to him. This is what I had to
do once for my baby. You can also add a very little bit of olive oil and that will help him.

I am pretty sure Rexy doesn't have an impaction, I am not sure about the Constantine though, as I haven't given him a bath. I gave Rexy a bath yesterday and her belly and everything felt normal no, hard no lumps. Rexy has a very hearty appetite so that makes me think no impaction. The male I tried to give water on the end of his nose and he ignored it. I poured water in his dish while he could see and still nothing. I guess Constantine shall try his first bath :shock: . He definitely needs it.
