Water help!

Do I need to give my young beardie water in a water bowl? Should I spray him daily or give him a bath? I have heard different answers.

If he's eating bugs that are eating fresh veges and are well hydrated from that, then he should get what he needs. You can drip or spray water on his nose for him to lick up and he will if he's thirsty but don't force it. You can provide baths if you want to. I usually reserve those for if they get soiled or stinky. Some like baths and some don't. If they don't like baths, don't force them. They aren't worth the stress if they aren't enjoyed. They don't help with hydration unless they drink from the bath.

My observation with beardies is they are more likely to us the water to cool off or as their latrine than to drink from the dish.

I think you need to watch for the humidity level in the enclosure.
I read that the humidity needs to be around 30-50% to mimic their original habitat.
If the humidity is too high I heard a beardie can have respiratory problems.

I personally don't use any water bowl and don't spray his enclosure since the humidity level is already around 40-50%.
And sometimes it jumped to 70%.

Just take your beardie out for a warm bath and dry them before putting them back to the enclosure.

Monster is about 2 years old and she doesn't really drink from anywhere else than when she takes a bath. Good thing for her she seems to like her baths!

What water temp do you all use for bathing your dragon? Mine seems happiest at 100-102 Fahrenheit with the IR Thermometer. If I go much higher she starts trying to get out of the water.
