wat kind of lights?

is there a light buld that gives my 8 week 5 in beardie everything that he needs to thrive?

Hi Cindy, so your 8 wk old beardie is only 5" long from nose to tip of tail? If so, that is very small. What brand & type of UVB have you been using? What are the tank temps and what type of thermometer are you using? There is mercury vapor bulbs that give off both heat and UV but we need to know what size tank he is in before we can go any further. Is this beardie acting & eating ok?

hes in a kind of big tank for him i thought that would help him grow i believe its a 40 gallon tank not so sure but it is long and his bigger bro is in a smaller one i think that ones a 20 gallon.

i have diffrent type of fixtures i have a basic clamp light, i have one that i can use the repti sun 10.0 on but its 24 inches and i have r zilla dome that has a round flourecent light and a middle light that can be night and heat i beleave wat woould be the best for a 24l 12w 12h or so dimensions

The dimensions you posted are for a 20 gal, yes ? Then I would use the fixture for the Sun, and the clamp on for a house hold flood light (try to find one around 40w, you may have to raise or lower to achieve proper temps).

i live in arizona and we get so much sun can i put him inthe natural sun for a little while

Yes ! You can take outside your fellow for an hour or so, just keep an eye on the temps, so he doesn't get overheated. Natural UVB comes from our sun, and it is marvelous for a dragon ! You are going to see lots of great color coming out, when you do bring your baby into the sun !

are they supposed to be on together? wat i do have is a sun glo 50 w baskin light and im gonna go look for a reptisun 10.0 i dont think its more than 40 gallons. and wat type of night light should i use?

These should be where the basking is close to the Sun so that they get both at the same time.

No lights at night are needed. Lights of any kind can disturb sleep, and you know how we are if we don't get our Beauty sleep

i have his bro in front of a window.the light from the sun does not hit him exactly but he does get alot of light. is this helping him? is this good for him? and should i do the same to this little guy? he is not sick

Yes, both will need the same light set ups. Even though the other is infront of a window, the glass blocks the UVB.
