Hey Guys,

I was wondering how much does it cost to do a fecal exam and a regular check up at the vet? Avg cost?

I am from MN took mine in a couple mo ago the vet visit was $70 and a fecal was $20

I take mine to a vet in Raleigh NC and the visit is around $45 and a fecal is around $25

I just took my beardie in 2 days ago for a check up. The office visit was $55,fecal was $18. It really does depend on the vet though. You can call around to your local vets and ask, they will tell you over the phone.

At my clinic an office visit is $27.50 and a fecal is $12.00 but if you suspect parasites and he is visibly ok that you can just save some fresh poop in a baggy and drop it by the vet clinic. They can just call you with results and you would only pay the $12 plus any meds he may need.

All vets are different but Duke's exam costed maybe like $55 and his fecal was between $20-$30. All together, I remember it being around $80.

The last one I had for Speedy, which was a month ago or so ran a little over $80.

Well, I brought my beardie to the vet today. It is actually cheaper than I expected. In total it came out to be 31 bucks including regular checkup and a vitamin shot because my beardie hasn't been eating properly.
I am quite proud of myself when the doc said my beardie is in perfect condition. ::beams:: He is a handsome fellow!!

WoW...that's cheap!! Where do you live? Did your vet have a different fee for exotics, or do you know?

I am located in Binghamton, New York. I think they have a different price for exotics since I asked them over the phone how much would regular checkup be. They said 46 bucks. But they charge me 31 with vitamin shot. XD

Also, i was wondering how much a normal and healthy beardie around the age of 1 1/2 years and 16 inches long will weigh how much?

I wasn't sure whether my beardie is underweigh or not. The doc measured him and said he weighs 126 grams.
