UVB to close!?

Is the 10.0 to close to my baby when she gets on her tree?
I was able to make brackets so I could have the hoods inside the tank. Had them and didn’t wanna waist the money I spent so I will make a way better set up when these go

The basking spot doesn’t get hit by the uvb

Which 10.0 bulb are you using? T5? T8? compact? The different variations make a difference in output and optimal mounting distance. You do want the UVB light to be over the basking area though. The goal is to imitate natural sunlight by combining a bright white light that produces heat with an intense UVB light so the basking site gets hit with a beam that simulates natural sunlight as closely as possible.
