UVB lighting

I’ve read that a mesh screen filters out most of the uvb light, which makes sense. My question is can you keep it on top if it’s a zoo med t-5 HO hood with a reptisun 10.0 t-5 HO lamp?

Yes the t5 HO 10.0 reptisun tube lights can be on top of the mesh, same with MVB's since they produce enough uvb and are stronger than weaker bulbs.

I wouldnt call myself an expert, just done a lot of research. After all i've only been keeping reptiles properly since October 2016 so thats only a little over a year. Compared to some people that have been keeping for 10+ years or so im pretty new to the hobby in a way.
