UVB Lighting question

Can I still use my reptison 5.0 UVB bulb when I move from a 20 to 40 gallon or should I move up to a 10.0?

From what I know you should be using a 10.0 anyways. The 5.0 Reptisun is only 5% UVB, and the Beardies need 10% or the Acadia 12% if you can source it.

If you go to the ZooMed site you can download the chart for the reptisun 10.0 and 5 to see the difference in penatration.

The larger tanks tend to be taller making it more difficult to have the beardie close enough for the majority of time the light is on.

Remember the readings for these bulbs is equivalant to being in the shade. In their normal habitat they bask for extended periods of the day in full sunlight.
