timer help!

I bought a duel timer from pets mart but I have no idea how to use it.... it came with no instructions and I brought it back to the store and they said they have no idea how to use it nor do they have any others....

Can you share a picture or product name?
Does it look like this?

If so.
The little pegs around the edge can be pushed down, those are the times the light is on. Up is off.
The arrow should point to the current time of day. The light fixture gets plugged into the side and it should be set and the dial might make a noise sort of like an egg timer.

Yes it is this timer... but it doesnt have any pegs

The edge should be a bunch of little segments every 15-30minutes. They make take some effort but should push down. I have had some timers that are easy and some that take a lot of force to push. Hope that helps.
