Where is the best place to put the sensor?

Is it on the actual basking area, or at the highest height my beardies can sit up to from the basking area?

i would def take a reading on the spot where the dragon basks the majority of the time... he or she can move up or down or away from it the light all together to thermoregulate, but make sure that direct basking spot is somewhere in the range of 100-110 F
