The directions say min of 12" for 100W T-Rex Active UV Heat. Does that mean that my beardie can not be any farther away than 12" or can't get any closer than 12"?

It means your beardie musn't be closer than 12" to the light.

Well I had him about 14" away the last 2 days and now he won't open his eyes for very long. I think they are hurting him. Before I got this, I had a Repti Sun 10. I guess I better go back to it. Will his eyes be hurt for long? Is there anything I can do?

I had a PowerSun bulb that burned my beardies eyes last year. Once I removed the light he was OK after a day or two.

We also had a Power Sun that affected Rubio's eyes and mood. Once we took the bulb out, he was fine. So you may want to go back to the Reptisun 10.0 & send back the TRex as defective. There's an article on the banner somewhere here that's about TRex.

what an odd ?? actually the one i just bough did this too, it seems like the NVB people, take turns and mess up bulbs so we can try all, though reptiglo i0.0 is bad, the solorglo is now the only think i use
