I am new, and some people are so against sand others say okay. I have ceramic tiles with sand in between. Is this okay? Is play sand better than reptile sand

If you want to keep it simple, we use ALFALFA pelets from the feed store.
It makes clean up e-z and simple, and alfalfa is a staple.
They also like to dig in it, we keep about 3 inches in the bottum of their vivs.
But the best thing is it's cheap, we pay $15.00 for a 50 lb bag and it last about 3 months.
But our vivs are 24x24x48 inches, one bag per viv.

I'd stick with just the tile, I'm not a fan of sand. Every if your beardie isn't eating it, he can still breathe in the the dust or get it in his eyes.

I have alfalfa pellets in Dudley's digging box, and he loves it. They are MUCH safer than sand. But personally I wouldn't use it as a main substrate, because it can get moldy easily if your beardie poops in it.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
