Studly Dudley! ♥ *Massive Picture Overload 7/30*

My dad just randomly came home with him! He is cutest thing ever, and has tons of chub! He just dived into his salad!
Hes 2 years old, 15-17 in. long (has pretty good sized nip) and 442 grams... Dyed from red sand, so I cant see his colors.

Dudley was being a bit of a Mr. Grumpy Gills yesterday, LOL, but I think he still had a good time.

Haha, I wasn't quite sure what to make of this. :roll: Either A) He had just come to terms with a midlife crisis of some sort or B) He was trying to attract some ladies to show off his newly furnished viv. He actually LOVES his new rock though, and he has been really active today so far

He wanted to hang out with his bestie before bed time, LOL.

But Smudge ran away when Dudley tried to jump on top of him.

LMAO, sorry to rain on your parade KitsuneGem, but they are both males and poor Smudge los this "manlyhood" a couple years ago... So, ummm, yeah. More impossible than you originally thought!

I was thinking of finally making my own tutorial for these things, beause this one actually turned out REALLY well!

I'm giving away my original 2 structures (basking platform and cave) if any Minnesotans want them too. I did the grout too thin and it cracked, but it would probably be fixable. They fit perfectly in an 18" wide cage!

Happy belated Gotcha Day! Dudley is a such a cutie with his manly black beard. I LOVE your new rock structure. I'm starting one of my own and appreciate the tip on great stuff shrinkage. Fingers crossed that mine turns out well. :mrgreen:

At this point, I wouldn't even use the Great Stuff again. :| After I put the grout on, it started expanding again, which cracked the grout in a billion places, and on my other finished sculptures you can see a lot of the foam now.

If you already used the Great Stuff though, make sure the final layer of grout is really thick so it dries strong, and if you have any cracking you can put some drywall spackle over it. :wink: Make sure to post pictures when you are done!
