Craigslist, or you could make your own.

Some pet stores MIGHT sell stands, but I haven't seen any around my local petshops.

I can't, I have no ability with tools, and my dad isn't home to build one. :/ Petco has stands, btu they're only for fishtanks -_-

A fishtank stand should work as long as your tank fits on it.

I bought a stand for a 40 gallon breeder critter cage at Pet Smart last week. It was $159.99. Exact measurements for a 40 gallon breeder too.

An aquarium will generally be heavier, so that should be fine. A 40 breeder filled with water is going to be more than 500 lbs once you account for decor and such ! Likely your setup is not that heavy !

I am using a repurposed TV stand for my tank. You just have to make sure size and ability to bear the weight are there.

My friend uses the steel shelving you can buy at hardware stores - just get a size that will work and the steel ones can bear a lot of weight just fine. I almost used this myself, but then I dragged the TV stand out of the back of my closet.

I had troubles finding what I was looking for too (that wasn't $300+) so I ended up throwing one together using existing products from Ikea...

This is what I used:

EXPEDIT Shelving unit, black-brown - $49.99

VIKA AMON Table top, black-brown - $19.00

and 2 of these: EXPEDIT Single drawer insert, black - $30.00 x2

Then I throw on these legs: UTBY Legs - $16.99

I attached the table top to the shelving unit using some L-Brackets and screws I picked up at Home Depot, the whole project was relatively simple and it ended up only costing about $150 which was half the price of what I was originally looking at, and its nicer too

Here's a pic of the final product, it's not the best pic (I'll try to get a better one once I get home) but you get the idea.

I'll try and find one that dosen;t cost 200$ since I have two and deffo don;t want to spend 400 bucks on stands! Oo And that's a nice idea! I'm not good at building things and doubt I could even do that though, lol.

I got my 40 breeder stand at petsmart too. They are on sale till the end of the month ( i think)

Where are you located? My daddy made me 2 stands! He might be willing to make another if you're local to me - I'm in the metro detroit area.

I have five concrete cinder blocks with a piece of plywood that fits my tank perfect. Not super nice looking, but puts kinda an industrial look to our living room. I like it. Only cost me 12 bucks. haha
