I have been lurking and commenting for awhile and realized I never introduced my babies.

Spyro is 4 months old and growing like a weed. He is full of energy, very curious, and fearless. He loves to torment my daschund. They have stare downs from Spyro's tank. The other day my daschund decided to take Spyro to the living room for play time. Needless to say I wasn't amused when I seen Buddy, the daschund, carrying Spyro! Thank goodness he didn't hurt my baby. Buddy no longer goes near Spyro after that incident.

Before I got Spyro we got Auzzie. Auzzie was a Christmas gift for my 15 year old son. She was sick from the day we got her. I took her to the vet weekly just to make sure she was doing okay. In February, I noticed that she wasn't gaining weight or growing. After another vet visit I find out she has pinworms. She finished the panacur, but still wasn't growing and started losing weight. From there I started feeding her baby food and critical care. She started being more alert and eating a little on her own. On March 11, the vet weighed her and she had gained 2g that week. We were impressed. On the 17th, she started wobbling when she walked. She didn't want to open her eyes and acted lethargic. This was about 6 pm. The next morning I get up and she has crawled up to her stuffed animal. Her breathing was very shallow and it looked like only one lung was functioning. Overnight she looked as if she lost 10g. I immediately wrapped her up and rushed to the vet. She passed away on the way there. I still question myself wondering what I did wrong. Looking back I realized that she was never well and I did everything possible to help her become a healthy, happy beardie.

On March 23, I made the mistake of going to Petco for my dogs some treats. Of course, my son makes a beeline for the beardies. The manager comes by and tells me they just got some new babies in and asked if I wanted to see them. It's bad when they know you in stores. When I go to the back and I am floored at how teeny these babies were. My eyes were drawn to my Ember. She was 4 1/2 in long and weighed 6.9g. I wasn't leaving without her. I have had her for 2 weeks now and tonight she decided to snuggle in my hair and go to sleep. This made my night.

Now I have a Bassett Hound, a daschund, a shih-tzu, two fish, and my two babies!

This is Spyro fighting the wolf. I think he won.

Taz is doing great. He is still really energetic and fun to watch. I wasn't able to get him to the vet on Monday (vet is on vacation). He will be going next week along with Spyro. Taz's poop is starting to have some shape to it, instead of having an all liquid blowout!!! He really knows how to pout. I went to get him out today and his beard was soooo black. I sat him on the bed and he took off running while his black beard faded away. He has a really good appetite. I give him greens in the morning with some medium size dubia and early afternoon I give him more greens with a few supers. I can tell he is gaining weight, but I am trying to wait until Friday to weigh him. He is getting used to being wrapped up and snuggled with at night, which makes me happy.

Toki is my clingy baby girl. A friend tried to pick her up today and she kept running from him in her enclosure. I went to her and she walks into my hand. As I am trying to hand her to him, she is scooting back so he can't get her. I love her, even though she did a massive poop on my shirt today! I really think she was smiling as she did it.

Ember has been showing off some by puffing his beard and opening his mouth at people. I think he is hilarious. Tonight, I had him wrapped up and asleep when Riley had to go out to potty. So I took Ember with me (didn't want her to potty inside) and as soon as I went out, he runs out of the blanket on my shoulder. Tomorrow, I will definitely take him outside for some fresh air.

Spyro is about to shed around his face. I am hoping his mouth breathing is because of the shed. His appetite is still pretty poor. I have been feeding him slurries mixed with repta-boost or critical care for weeks. He get Bene-bac every other day. He is extremely active, which is confusing. His poop (every 3-4 days) is solid and not smelly. I syringe feed him water daily and he gets baths every other day. I've even replaced all his lights, rechecked his temps, and keep the humidity around 30%. At night I turn the CHE on so his tank stays around 80. Spyro is my first baby and I just want him to be happy and healthy.

Silly Riley loves the dragons. If they are right at the front of their tanks, she will go to them and start licking the glass. I have to clean slobber off the tanks several times a day. I can't have the dragons out with her, she is a little hyper and might think its a game if they run. Not taking any chances for them to get hurt.

King Spyro!

Toki went with me to the local Farmers Market this afternoon. She got tons of attention. Of course, she had to show off a few times by opening her mouth. I let her sit in the grass for a bit. My timing was perfect because she popped about 1 minute after I sat her down! Ember is pouting because I didn't take him. He keeps puffing up at me, so I am sitting outside with him before his bedtime.

Toki enjoying the grass. I had to hurry and take the picture because I didn't want her to run off.

Ember is so easy going. Today, I took him outside and wanted to get some pictures of him. I couldn't just take pictures, I had to have a prop. Sorry, couldn't resist. I love his belly and the fact that nothing stresses him! Hope y'all enjoy!

Thank you! I love all of my babies! Ember is easy to get pictures of. He stays anywhere I put him. He did slide off the motorcycle a few times and just laid there. I have pictures I want to submit but no idea which ones. These are my favorites pictures so far! I might make a beardie bandana and try it out tomorrow! 8)

Thanks! Ember is a ham. I can out him anywhere and he won't move. Makes it so easy to take silly pictures!

Taz and Toki have been asleep for 2 days now. I keep checking to see if they are okay. I miss my babies. :(

I finally gave in and surprised my son with a malamute! There is never a dull moment around here now. I'll upload some pictures of all my critters tomorrow.

Wow, already in on brumation! I've been wondering about Pushkin - I don't know his birthday, but I do know that he is at least 7-8 months old, but probably more like 10-11 months old now. So maybe still too young? He's been acting a little sleepier than usual, but still eats like a champ and stays awake throughout the day.
Narley, on the other hand, tries to sleep all the time...

I haven't had Toki long so I have no idea if she brumated before. Taz has only been here a few weeks so I am clueless about him too. I've been checking on them daily and they open their eyes and look at me but stay in their beds under their blankets. I've been letting their lights still come on (set on a timer). I really don't know if I should let them keep sleeping or wake them up. :?: I know I miss snuggling with Toki and watching Taz act like a wildman!

Toki woke up from her almost one week nap today! Silly girl slid out of her blanket around noon. I let her warm up a bit then fed her some dubia and greens. Then she got a nice warm bath.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
