I suppose that maybe we should be making a vet appointment.
What are your thoughts?

to me it just looks like a bit of stuck shed, nothing to worry about! but if the spot is in caving a bit then I'd say it's ok to bring her/him in but if the spot is slightly elevated then it's definitely shed

You were exactly right, they disappeared when he shed.

Hello,

I was going to suggest shed that was stuck, or even some discoloration from food possibly. They
can be messy! LOL At least it has come off now.

AWWW!! I thought mine was a boy at first so we named it mango but then we realized it was a she when we took her to the vet and she also has a lot of orange and since mango rhymes with rango we went with that! It's also my favorite fruit

I just wanted to share what we found that seems to work really well for the BD.
Wish I would have taken pictures before we treated it . Hindsight is always 20/20…
Didn’t have any raw filtered honey on hand so we used what we have, works really well for numerous things on us, from burns, cuts, abrasions, stings and other things I’m forgetting. Figured that abrasions on him it would do good as well, sure enough it is clearing it up awesomely. Here’s a picture after the fact and what we used.
