Do beardies slow down as they get bigger? Mine's at around 7-8 months and is still REALLY fast, to the point that im not comfortable letting him out for fear he will get somewhere I can't retrieve him.

yes, they do slow down as they age. It's usually after one year of age, tho. Rosie liked to climb trees when she was young, she hasn't wanted to climb in the last couple of years. Lil Squirt liked to climb last summer but hasn't much this last fall.

You can put him into a room that's beardie proofed, such as your bathroom, that might be easier than the bedroom, and let him run. They like to explore. Squirt will be 2 years old on June 18th and she still seems to like to get herself hidden in our bedroom, which is easy for her.

Well, that would help with my OTHER fear of him being so fast: That he runs right off a ledge :p

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
