Oh Lori, I'm so sorry to hear this, I was so hoping the Carnivore Care would help. Keep on trying, anying, and hold her as much as you can. Make sure she's hydrated at least, that's really important to get her in baths or drinking. Hopefully she'll hold on until the vet on Friday. My prayers are with you and I'm hoping she doesn't get any worse.

I tried to give her some water yesterday and she didn't take that idea well. She tried to upchuck it but was unsuccessful, maybe I put it to soon after the critical care I gave her.

Bill was successful in feeding her 2 supers. She didn't really want them but she ate them, the green he tried on her she spit out. I gave her some water, I syringed it into her but that didn't seem to help. For some reason syringing the critical care and/or water makes her more lethargic. I know she needs water but I don't understand why when I give her water it seems to make her worse. I guess it could be her attitude that "I don't want that and they are making me so I'll give up" but I do know she needs the water. I wonder if it's going down the wrong way. I put it into the side of her mouth as was suggested on this site elsewhere, so it won't go into her lungs. If it is going down the wrong way, what would cause that? Today she worked her tongue as if to swallow the water but it negatively affected her and I don't get why.

I hate to say this but it looks like Goldie is gone. It's sad but by the time we knew something serious was wrong, it's to late to do anything. I put her back on the place she was basking last to see if maybe she'll respond later today. I think I'll take Rosie outside, she still needs us and we need her. I'm thankful she is still with us.

Oh Lori, I'm so sorry to hear that Goldie didn't make it poor girl. I'm crying for you right now, having lost Sweetie I know how this has affected you and Bill. It's always a mystery why they're good one day & going downhill the next. Just know that Goldie is now with Roger and all the beardies we've all lost, she's in good health again & playing with everybeardie over the Rainbow Bridge. RIP Goldie, sweet Goldie, you're going to be forever missed.
Take care and hugs to you all,
Deb

Thank you, Deb. It hurts to loose her. We would have had her for 4 years in one month. We did have her longer than any other beardie we had, by more than and almost 2 years. I'm glad that when we lost Redrock I insisted on getting a baby beardie, one we called Zoom Zoom, now she's called Rosie Zoom Zoom.

You guys take care of each other. It's so difficult when you lose a loved one. So many beardies lost this year. Thanks goodness you still have Rosie to love.

Awww I'm so sorry to hear she is passing. :( You made her comfortable until the end as best that you could - I don't know what else you could have done for her. :(

Thanks Deb, Shanny beard, Christine and Gina. Rosie knows something is wrong also. She knows that when we go places we have her along with Goldie with us, yesterday because of Goldie's health, we only had Rosie, now just a few minutes ago when I put Rosie back into her tank, I saw a different look in her eyes that I hadn't seen, she was looking toward Goldie's tank. I told her earlier that Goldie was gone and wouldn't be with us anymore. I can only be grateful that God had her with us as long as he did. We both miss her, it's hard to see her in her tank that way. When we got home (plumbing problem to fix) it seemed like she'd moved a little but it was just her body settling.

This may seem crazy, but do you think you should put Rosie into Goldie's tank so she can see her and know she's gone..........maybe not, if Goldie had an infection???.......but I know that helps us as humans to have closure, soooooooooooooooooo sad, I'm sorry.

I showed Rosie Goldie threw the glass shortly after we realized Goldie was no longer with us. We believe Rosie and Goldie were bonding, not as much as Miss O and Miss Y bonded but more than most beardies. Rosie isn't depressed as Miss O was when Miss Y died but I think she misses Goldie.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
